Default 85K+ miles club

hola. I really wanted to start a thread like this because I am at that point!
I have 88,8xx on her right now. She still runs great. But just looking at the high miles scares me for some reason.
Does anybody have this many or more miles on there crossy's? I have heard up to 150K. How many miles do you think this car will last if well taken care of?
I just had the ATF changed at 85k, should've been 80k.. And I changed the oil at the same time. I fixed the leaky trans. myself, and I think that's it.
Now I need new brake pads and rotors, tires, and I want to put new plugs and wires in her!
whew!

Anyway.. Does anyone else on here have high miles? any problems?

A friend of mine (who lives in Germany) once told me his Father-in-law's Mercedes has over 300,000 miles on it with no major repairs.

Do not worry HowardJ, This car will take the miles. Not that many have proved it yet, but they will. Look at E320s--same engine. There are many with 200k on the clock. Start changing the trans every 2 years or 25k. I owned a repair shop for 10 years and would tell my customers that the "fluid" in the part is ALWAYS cheaper than the "part." Is it over-kill? Maybe!!! But a few EXTRA qts of trans fluid is way cheaper than a rebuilt trans. Same goes for the coolant, brake fluid, and power steering fluid. People change the engine oil on a regular basis, but leave the others "out-to-dry." Every fluid every 2 years or 25k---cheap insurance.

I have a friend who bought his 16 years old daughter a SLK 320 with 168,000 on it. She has put another 15k on it, and it is in great shape. So there is the same basic car with 180+ on her!!!! Enjoy!!!!

If you go to Tirerack.com you can review by car (not just by tire), so there's dozens of XF owners that have written reviews of tires they've used on their XFs....one guy stated he had (at the time of the review) >125,000 & another said > 140,000.

Are you the original owner? If so, what's the most # of miles you've ever gotten out of a rear tire & what kind was it?

yes, original owner.

Id guess about 30k? I bought my third set about a year and a half ago (Pilot all-seasons).

Previous sets were:
- Pilot PS2's (original)
- ContiTouringContact's (came with the SRT/6 rims that i bought from this forum in late 2006).

I tried to order Coninental ExtremeContact DWS and tirebarn and discount tire says that they are on back order. I think I am just going to go with Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110's instead.

My brake pad light came on yesterday.. going to get Rotex Golds of course.. I need to get rotors as well.. any thoughts on rotors? slotted? drilled? both?

I might have 60,000 between the two cars.
Now that I think of it that's another reason to have two Crossfires. You get to split the mileage and the cars last twice as long!

2004 with 111,400 on her. Only item that needed replacement was the inner bearing on the fan. At first I thought the aircondiioner needed a recharge but it was the inoperative fan that caused the lack of cooling. Easy fix if you know someone with the appropriate tools.
