I'm coming home!!!
I'm coming home!!!
Hi all,
I just wanted to let everybody know that after 2 years in Korea, I'll be moving back to the USA in August!!! I'll still be with Hyundai, but I'll be returning to the Southern California studio.
My Crossfire is currently in storage in Decatur, IL. I plan to fly out for a family gathering on Labor Day weekend, and then take the Crossfire for a cross-country drive back to CA! I know there are some of you who live in St. Louis, Chicago, and nearby cities. I'd love to meet up with some of you along the way...Drop me a line!
-Eric

Re: I'm coming home!!!
Eric that's great news. I'm sure there are plenty of Crossfire owners who would be up for an impromptu GTG upon your Midwestern arrival.
It's never too soon to start planning to attend next years Crossfire Reunion in Colorado either.
To bad you wont be back in time for the Woodward Ave. Dream Cruise.

Re: I'm coming home!!!
By the exclamation points at the end of the title, I'd say you are pretty excited about coming home, Eric. Welcome back, and I hope you have a great and safe trip CROSS country. As can be evidenced by the fan base you have here, you were instrumental in designing a beautiful car, and I feel fortunate in being able to own one.
Point in fact, I looked at a 2007 BMW Z4M the other day, and while a beautiful car in its' own way, I couldn't help but compare it to the Cross. And to be honest it fell short, price to value especially.
So again, welcome home, and we'll look forward to speaking with you as you get more settled. The Cross is a fine piece of your work, but I'm sure there'll be many more to come. Mark

Welcome back, Eric!
My compliments on your work at Hyundai. The new Genesis is an attractive car and shows your signature lines along the sides. Before you went over there, their designs lacked appeal (and sales). Did you have a hand in the Tiburon (GK and GK FL) designs? It sure looks like it.
Anyway, kudos, and safe travels on your way home!

Re: I'm coming home!!!
I'm pretty sure you'll decline to answer, but here goes.....Eric, if someone were willing to give you either a Genesis Coupe 2.0T 6 spd. or a Crossfire Limited 6 spd. ( both with zero miles on the clock).....which one would you take? & let's pretend you don't already own an example of either one.....+ you'll be required to drive this car as your only vehicle for the next 10 years.
Re: I'm coming home!!!
I was wondering where this was posted, I saw the one on the CICCI site.
My wife's suggestion is that those who can, come to Decatur IL and meet up with you. You let us know the dates that will work and we can get this going.
If nothing works out and you swing down to the STL area on your way out West, let us know!

Welcome back, as previously stated styling at Hyundai has come a long way since you joined them. Congrats on the great work. If you get a chance check the link in my signature. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the following the XF has gotten. Almost cult like
