Default Are there different shades of red?

I want either a black Crossfire or a red one but I"m not sure if there are different shades of red. Look at these three listings:

2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited, $18,949 - Cars.com

2007 Chrysler Crossfire, $19,600 - Cars.com

2004 Chrysler Crossfire, $11,475 - Cars.com

Notice how they are all labeled red but look like different shades. I want a bright red one like the first link, but I'm wondering if there is actually only one red and the other two listings don't look bright because of different lighting. Can anybody confirm or deny for me that there are multiple shades of red, a bright red one and a more maroonish one?

Thanks

If that last one was a 6 speed, I'd go get it.

But it's all in the camera and lighting. I believe there is only one Red - I know mine looks different in many of the shots I have of it. I THINK it's the UV's effect on the camera. Mine only looks dark red (which it is) in low light.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I am 98% sure there was only one red. There WAS more than one Gray, but only one red - that's my 2 cents.

There's actually better deals on the site. Like this black one:

2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited, $10,876 - Cars.com

I'm deciding between automatic and manual right now. I think I'll go automatic though. It seems that the cheapest Crossfire's are the silver ones, black not too far ahead.

I believe there to be different shades of red. My 2004 has a 2-tone effect. Best bet is that it's a factory defect with the plastic and metal parts being painted separately. It's just enough of a difference to be appealing.

Autos seem cheaper too, .... maybe cause there are more of them?

Or maybe just cause it's not what I want!

Ok, Ill take the challenge... let me try to post two pics of my car here... Same car, same DAY! One taken at the dealership (notice the color at the back end in the sun vs. the front end in the shade).

The other taken at home the next day on an overcast day. SAME CAR!!!

Color looks the same to me in both pics. Maybe it depends on the camera? In person does your car look more bright red or more maroonish red?

Looks like a ripe apple - dark red. Pull it into the sun and it gets lighter, take a pic and it damn near comes out orange!

Guy here at work is a photographer part time (better at that than his work here!) He says it's the UV "fooling" the eye AND the camera.

I can't argue with him, I KNOW my car is not a Gecko - it can't change colors (Is is the Gecko that does that?)

So your car is more close to this

rather than (which looks like the pics you posted)

I think the question is solved I just want to make sure.

One shade of red, but sometimes referred to as Blaze red, sometimes Inferno Red, same color, same paint code, different names depending on year. It just looks different in some lighting

I'm kind of confused as to what the red looks like in real life.

Could somebody please post a picture of what it looks like?

Thanks

I have plenty here:
Debbie pictures by itskyb - Photobucket

All the same car, but the red looks different depending on the lighting.

Here's a suggestion. At the next large GTG (like Woodward Ave. for instance) why don't we make a concerted effort at trying to park all the cars in attendance together by color, and take a group photo.
I've noticed different Crossfires in red, grey, even white that look as though they're different shades. They may have just one paint code, but parked next to each other, (even in the same light) there is a difference.
