What is it with TAILGATERS!!??
I rarely go slow enough for anyone to tailgate me. In traffic, I haven't noticed it being an issue. I ride a bike most of the time, where I am extremely aware of and intolerant of tailgaters. If someone is following too close, I tap the brake a couple of times to indicate they should back off. If that doesn't work, I wave them back with my hand. If that doesn't work, I slowly come to a stop then put the kickstand down. That has always worked.
One reason I rarely get tailgated is I am always aware of what other people around me are doing. If someone wants to go faster than me, I get out of their way.

Lifeistiming, one suggestion here I remember is when being tailgated wash your windshield. The fluid will blow over the top of your XF and onto the car behind, which often causes them to go around you.
I tailgate if someone doesn't move over when I come up behind them flashing my highbeams =/
Seattle has some of the worst idiots on our freeways, we have self-righteous tards going 65mph in the HOV lane, we have gigantic busses also going 65 mph in the HOV lane.
Then we have the people who think they are being courteous, by riding the lane to the right of the HOV @ 60mph, instead of in the HOV lane when they have 2+ people in the car!
My worst pet peeve though is the idiots that don't turn left on red!!
Washington state is one of the (only?) state which actually allows people to turn left on a red light after coming to a complete spot in certain circumstances.
Now, that also includes highway on ramps!
I've had so many situations when I'm sitting behind some asshat whos sitting @ a red light for an off ramp, no oncoming cars are coming, and I'm blaring my horn and people still dont go!
I hate people who don't go when they are able too!

vehicle operators facing a steady circular red signal may, after stopping proceed to make a right turn from a one-way or two-way street into a two-way street or into a one-way street carrying traffic in the direction of the right turn; or a left turn from a one-way or two-way street into a one-way street carrying traffic in the direction of the left turn;
