Default Why I Should Get The New Floormats!

This is a shameless attempt to sway the Forum Administrator to favor me for the floormats!!!!

Why I should get the new floormats:

1. I will only use the new mats when the summer tires are on the car. They will be cleaned and safely stored away during the winter months. Since I plan on changing over those tires the first week of April, the timing is perfect and must be fate!

2. I will keep them swept clean and shampoo them as necessary.

3. I have been a really good boy this year.

4. I have not flamed anyone on the forum. Maybe a few smolders, but no raging flames!!!!

5. I have helped little old ladies across the street, and even let them take a look at my Crossfire. Well OK, they were young ladies......

6. I will sing the praises of crossfireshop.com to anyone that will listen!

7. I promise to keep my Crossfire as clean and polished as I did with my 1973 Mach I, to match the extra special detail these mats will bring.

8. My wife thinks I have lost my mind to want new mats. That is true, so winning them will help to restore my mental health, if that is possible.

9. If I don't have to spend the $80.00 for mats, it will be easier to convice her that the $355.00 for lighted sill plates is not all that much money!

And most importantly:

10. Being from Youngstown, Ohio, widely considered to be the armpit of the world, letting other people see these beautiful mats will improve their outlook on life, giving them a new reason to better themselves and therefore bring economic recovery to this area and possibly the country! I will not be showy and take credit for this. I will leave that to the politicians......

Thank you mightyjlr for your consideration in this very important matter!!

Your bestest friend and buddy,

Jim

I should get them because I don't shamelessly attempt to sway the administrator...and I still haven't got my luggage.

Oh come on...I'm just kidding. The luggage isn't a big deal to me. I just find it funny.

Actually I find the luggage pretty cool. I've used it once, and the TSA guy who screened my bag was all over it. He couldn't believe that my luggage had rims!

I hope you get it soon!

I could not remember which thread I said I would upload some pictures of my first car, so I will just put the post here.

The 2 weeks after purchase picture - 1 week after I bought this car (mid January, 1973), I took a three week road trip to Florida. This picture was taken by a canal in Cape Coral, which is across the river from Ft. Meyers.

The 5 weeks after purchase picture - This is what I came home to..... Seems strangely familiar! :-)

And that handsome young lad is a thirty year younger me!!!!!

It is still a cool looking car, and James Bond even drove one!!!!!

Jsisabella - What's all that white stuff that always seems to be on your cars in your album? I don't recognize this stuff, being from southern california.

Nice car... I had a red '69 Mach 1, only had it for six months before I had to sell it because I was being sent overseas.
