Default Pratically giving away a crossfire

Found this on craigslist for anyone interested in another crossfire. This guy is practically giving it away. I wish i could afford to buy it and insure two cars!! The car is in Bergen County NJ, which is the Ramapo NJ area.

2004 Chrysler Crossfire

I wonder where he got the bumper. If it was something besides red, I might be interested. Then again, I live nowhere near there.

Well, there is Pizza Guys shot at a red 6 sp priced right and reasonable miles.

He could get it for wholesale, drive it two years and get his money back any day he gets tired of it.

I used to work in No Bergen several times a year. I cannot imagine a tougher area for a car -- bad roads (pot holes), lots of traffic, construction, etc. Those have to be 46k hard miles on a car that is in it's 7th season. But if it checks out and he can prove the service records, it may very well be a good buy.

180 isn't all that far off the mark here.

However, for that price with THOSE miles... too good to ignore.
Just sent the guy an email with my phone number. Does not harm to
at least talk to him. I do understand the warning here about the roads up there.

Gives me pause, but still... I need a second set of wheels. Looked at an F150 with 130,000 on it today
for $4000. Probably more practical, (and it WAS red!), but I can't pass this one up.

I will at least talk to him, it's the lowest price XF I've ever seen.

Anyone close by that can look it over and drive it?

(MAN is it expensive to fly to any 'port in that area!)

Not saying this is the case, BUT, there are a lot of car scams on Craig's List. Usuallly a car is advertiised at about half the price it should sell for. Not sure how these scams work, but usually the ads are pullled within a day or two. I am curious if this turns out to be legiit.

Oh, Jerry! Glad you chimed in...

I can see it now... "I found it on the internet, it's too good to be true..."

What can possibly go wrong here?

A local buyer could be getting a bargain, if all checks out. Just be aware of the possibilities....Price seems really low for a great car with only 46K miles!

A co-worker from our corporate office stopped by today. He has a 2007 Gray 6 speed Roadster that he is thinking about selling. I will get all the details tomorrow and post them. Is Pizzaguy still in the market for a 6 speed?

Yes I am... I think I found one, but would still be interested in hearing about this one.

having learned the hard way.....those "____@yahoo.com" emails and hotmail and gmail etc are usually scams...I found what I thought was a "deal" on a DLSR camera retail ($3,000) for $1,000 bucks...so....after sending money through money gram/western union I learned that when it sounds to good to be true...it usually is...over here they are going cheap less than 12k on CL....hope you find your car soon man..
