It looks to be correct to me also. You will have to find other connector tubes to make it work.

Jean, your engine cover is from an SLK. The auction cover looks like a C320 cover. The SLK cover is one piece, the C cover is 2 piece. It appears to be the 2 piece cover, but hard to tell with just one pic. The C cover has larger opening for the inlet tubes.

Compare your cover to the auction cover. Look in the front corners, they are different. The area around the oil cap is different, and the area on the right side front is really different when looking close. Look at the very rear of the filter area. Yours is slanted, the c320 is straight or parellel to the firewall.

Either one will fit on the engine. The c320 uses much larger filters also.

Here is an SLK:

Here is a c320 or the one in the auction:

Either one will fit on the engine.
I got the 2 piece cover and it fitted like a dream using the existing tubes.
The one for sale on E-Bay which you are looking at WILL FIT.

James
It looks like a one piece cover to me but hard to say for sure. Either way he will be fine with that cover as it is supplied with the intake tubes according to the listing

Terry, If you say you have a 2 piece, then there must be more than 1 style. Here is another example of a c320 cover using the original air tubes that are too small:

Mine was exactly as the pic above and had to buy the 3" tubes to fit properly.

Used on eBay, they go anywhere from $75 to $200 plus shipping, depending on condition. It seems the SLK 1 piece cover always brings a little more than the c320.

Good luck, you will like it.

Please let us know how it turns out, and some pics as well.

Chris
I sold mine for $150 including K&N filters to a CarDomain XF owner. It was in like new condition, couldn't have been on my car for more than 500 miles.

Do they fit like this pic?

Are you talking about the cutting the cover to clear the upper radiator hose?

yes the intake tubes fit just like the one in the picture. and yes the cover touches the upper radiator hose so i took a small semi circle out for clearance

Mine clears the radiator hose just fine. With your tubes not fitting properly, you are probably sucking in some hot air from the engine compartment. 3" tubes and connectors will fit properly.

Hello,

Similar expertise required please. Will this cover fit the Crossfire? It has a part number starting with 112 which indicates it is from a car with a M112 engine.

hi mate i would say yes it looks the same as the one i bought from same guy, i didnt pay what he asked i offered him what i was prepared to pay and he accepted, £50 including p+p, remember you will probably have to buy new filters as the ones that came with mine were shagged they cost another £30. also the intake pipes slot inside the new cover not on the outside so there is a very small gap that will probably suck in a small amount of hot air but i am looking for some sort of rubber connector to get over this, no big problem..chris
