Missing Options!?
Anyone else miss these options normally found on Chrysler products?
1.) Easy entry seat option
2.) Auto temp control
3.) Light indicating cruise control is on
4.) Multiple driver seat settings option
5.) Service monitor
6.) Average mpg readout
It would seem that a car of this caliber would have these type of options available like other Chrysler products in the same price range. I wonder why the compromise. Any other thoughts on this?

The biggest reason would be that its (mostly) not a Chrysler product, hence, these options dont didnt make it into the car. The SLK on which its based does not have these options, so it would be wasted money retrofitting these (mostly useless) doohickeys to the car anyway.
How *** Porsches, Corvettes, etc have most of them if not all of them? Sports car....hmmm. I've only had mine a few weeks now but personal luxury car would more closely describe this class of cars.

I just sold a BMW with all the features you mention plus more. as I wait for my xf (comming on tues) I have been spending the last two weeks driving the wifes citron, which is as basic as it gets. Funny thing is that all those neat toys I hardley use as proven to me using the citron.
There is only two options that i need.
1) sat nav for work (preferance as I dont like maps)
2) cover for the trunk (boot) as I carry a lap top and camera gear.
i find a lot of toys on cars a good talking point in the bar with your pals but, every day there use is a rairty.

TNT:
This has been discussed before in other threads. You may want to take a look.
What is boils down to is that this is a reworked M/B SLK, and those items were not on that vehicle. To get it out on the market in less than two years meant making as few changes to the original design as possible.
Everyone has their own ideas of the "perfect" options that should have been included. I know I do. But if D/C included or made available every option that has been listed on this forum over the last ten months, this car would end up costing $60K+, and that would have defeated the original purpose of the car - to get a high quality, super sexy, two seater sports car out the door under $40K!
Now if they could just tear out the center console and make it an all electronic, touch screen, voice activated control center....... :-)
And one final thought, TNT: Ignore the posts that really **** you off....... Flame wars serve no purpose.
Just my humble opinion. Forget that - I am not humble at all!!!!! :-)

Think we discussed this but Tom Tom is the best aftermarket system IMO, it will still work out cheaper and better than the xfire system as / when it becomes available

lord perc. Looking into it, major challange is to find a car electronics firm near me to do the work. Called a couple of place, One knew the car but, will not do the install, (only sell smart nav) the other wouldn't work on the car because they never heard of it. Told them about slk relation but, no go. guess they are not intrested in money.
I have pictures in my album of the Garmin iQ3600 sat nav system I installed in mine. I am very happy with the performance.
The touch screen and routing functions work quite well. I would rather it was integrated into the console, but such is the way of the world....

  We have the same Garmin ique 3600. I like the way you have it mounted. Good Job!!
Mine keeps resetting every once in a while, which is pretty irritating. But I do like it.
