Crossfires at Barrett Jackson
Crossfires at Barrett Jackson
There weren't any. Went yesterday. What an orgy of $ looking for a place to land. As for the Crossfire, there was an Aston Martin with 007 add-ons. Two Mac10s magically sprouted from a hiding place under hood grills. Looking closely I believe the mechanism causing this was our spoiler servo set-up.

Re: Crossfires at Barrett Jackson
Vegas I love your description of Barrett Jackson. I used to think this was a pretty cool auction but what some of the stuff sells for is just plain stupidity. My take is they get the crowd worked up on some decent collectables (a 62 Vette or something like that) and then they roll out a Mercury Cougar and it sells for a ridiculous price. The whole thing has left me asking how do all these people have all this money and who the hell are they talking to on their cell hones as they place their bids? Must be some guy with all the money? An orgy of $$$it is!
Re: Crossfires at Barrett Jackson
The crazy thing is, Barrett-Jackson no longer plays in the high end of the collector car market. That is the world of RM Auctions and Gooding and Company, primarily. Big money old Ferraris, Bugattis, Duesenbergs, etc. We're talking cars selling in the multiple millions of dollars. B-J hasn't move a car for over a mil in a couple of years now, unless maybe it was a charity auction vehicle.
