Default DEBADGE or NOT TO DEBADGE

I'm interested to know how many Crossfire owners DEBADGE the letters in the boat tail?

Bump, I would like to know as well. Would you use a hairdryer to heat the letters and then remove?

I think you can just use a string of floss behind the letter to 'cut' it off.

I took all the letters off except the "s" in the center. Used fishing line. Very easy to take the letters off; very difficult to remove all the glue. Even once I had the glue off you could see, at certain angles, a ghosted image. A lot of elbow grease removed that.

use "goof off" for the remaining adhesive (let the product do the work).....then a non abrasive polish to luster like new

I used "Goo Gone." it's worked well elsewhere, not on the XF. I'll try your suggestion next time.

From my view, the butt-end of the XF was just a bit too busy, aesthetically speaking. I've always held the notion that the name position was the last thing dealt with and they just put it where it fit. At the same time, I left a solitary "s" in placec seems to look better that way. A surprise benefit is that it further obscures just what the car is. I've held several people pour over it and wondering aloud what they were looking at; many not recognizing the Chrysler logo.

Do they make the glues for the letters better than Chrysler used to? (try and find a vintage Voyage or Caravan with the glued-on rear model name intact).

 Reg - since you only left the "s" on the boattail, now everyone will think that you are driving a "snail" car. As you go zipping past them, they will all say "Look at that S CAR GO! "

When people talked "debadge", I assumed take the Chrysler emblem (what I would call a "badge") off the car. Since doing so would leave an mepty depression in the metal below the spoiler, I couldn't understand why anyone would do that (though I notice if you get your car "StarTech'd" they take the Chrysler logos off). Looking at you album, you just took off the CROSSFIRE words... I understand now. Though I don't think I'd do it myself.

Maybe this is the worst crime I've made against my Crossfire -- DEBADGING! I did it...it's cool and it's now clean. You just need to apply more Zanio Polish on it to match the surface that's already been polished before and to remove the shadow or rather the cloaking " crossfire " letters.

" This is worst than converting into a Lambo Lambo door....but I'm happy cause its cool and it adds more intrigue. "
