Default Trade up to a Roadster...?

Just out of curiosity, how many of you current Crossfire owners are planning or considering trading up to a Crossfire Roadster when they finally become available?

Yeah? How do you consider this a "trade-up"? Now the SRT might be another story 8)

OK - I get the picture...

I think the coupe looks great and is clearly one of the most striking and distinctive cars available today. I'm really surprised not to have seen ANY actually on the roads or freeways around here. :?

Personally I'm looking forward the the XF Roadster reaching the dealers so I can size it up for myself rather than just see all the pretty pictures.

I guess the Southern Californian in me is showing through! 8)

Is anyone out there waiting buy, or at least to try out, a roadster rather than getting a coupe right now :?:

We are a two Crossfire family, so I am going to really consider trading one for a roadster. My dealer already knows that I get the first call when it arrives. Living in Florida, having a coup and a roadster would be more pleasure than one man deserves. I traded a Mustang ragtop for my first Crossfire.

over the years, i have had quite a few convertables and enjoyed the heck out of them. my last one was a 72 cutlass that i had completely restored (not off frame) before giving it to my son for his first car (bad idea).

i'm just tired of fooling with the top. as good as they look and work when brand new, they wear out, look ratty, leak or rattle or something.

now, having said that, i still do most of my small trips on the bike and consider it a sin to put a windshield on a motorcycle.

and yes, i do think they lose a lot of the special look of the crossfire when they cut the roof off. i'm not sure i've seen anyone else mention it but those narrow side windows creat a look that is not unlike the the old 50's cars after being "chopped and channeled". how long has it been since you've seen that term???

You'd take a bath in trade in value for your current crossfire. Especially with only owning it for a short time. If anything, just get a second one! Roadster for the perfect days, and the coupe for the not so nice days. It would make every day a perfect day! Never being without your crossfire!

8) Im sticking with the Coupe. Not into sunburns or dust blowing into my clean interior. 'Converts' can be cool but the Crossfire isn't needing it.
