LOL That comment is sig worthy! Anyways I do think it's a bit ricey and I do think you will get made fun of a lot (if you don't already for the checker flag vinyl) but if you must paint your rims do a black and your green brake calipers will stick out nice and you won't get made fun of.

My two cents is that lime green is about the most 'in your face' color you can put on a car--and that is a good thing. As you shop the paint, I would suggest the Krypton Green offered on the Lotus Elise. Hell, if you can't have fun with your car, drive a Buick.

LIME GREEN??

Say, are you the guy with the woman painted on the side, parked at WalMart?

If you are, I don't think lime green wheels would even be noticed.

Sublime Green should only be on 1970 Superbirds.............

Too each their own, I have seen some cars really just destroyed by radical changes but f the owner likes it so be it. I always think long term, what happens in a few years if I try to sell it, can I find someone with similar taste or will I have to lose a ton of $ because of my changes? My .02 which is worth less than that!

Well... first of all... He is older than his 20's. I seen the car in person and the design down the sides of the car looks amazing. the pictures dont do justice. I seen this car drive past while I was parked at a strip joint using my phone. So I followed, passed, pulled over and met up. No one will make fun of this car when you see it. you might not like it but you will for some reason keep looking at it.

Paint some part of the rims green! whatever part you think fits! You had good judgement so far so run with it.

I was told I would get made fun of because of the 2tone paint job. Too "ricer"
That has not happened yet! and I don't think it will happen to you either!

Thank you for all the remarks keep them coming and I just turned 50 not 16-18 smart ***. I do beat to a different drum. Look at my pics at the sport trac that is done up my last ride. How many people have ever seen nitrous on a sport trac??? I had 8 sponsors on that truck, when you go to shows you want to be noticed companys like that. And had 5 sponsors on the ride before that. So I must be doing something right! After looking at the pics I also think all green would be too much. And when I sell the car I can repaint the rims I do all my own work.

I think its cool you're doing your own thing, however, lime green is a volitile color in that it gets to be to much really quick. I see the rims playing nicely off of your windshield surround and strakes so BALANCE everything.

COLOR OVERLOAD

The calipers will pop if painted lime green and add even more depth to the wheel area. I mean come on, most calipers are red or same color as the car etc. A little lime green back behind the wheel wont over power the eye or cause nausia; blend it all together and stands out in a proper way.

Don't listen to anybody else, just do what I say and it will be ok

To me though, the lime green just looks cheap on the rims and makes me think someone is trying to look like a ricer. Our car is very unique and there is nothing wrong with wanting it to stand out, like the paint job on the door. I like the pattern, but I don't care for the color.

But if you are determined to paint them differently and you don't want gun metal, then maybe consider the blaze red on the outer part of the rims and calipers and a gun metal for the rest. Yeah, I'm a bit conservative with paint scheme.

Maybe Rudy can photo shop that in for you and show you what it would look like

No no no, red and black. To include the body checkerboard going to red.

Let me add, I would only do any of this if you have the engine and skill to back up what is sure to be viewed as a challenge to every ricer and muscle car out there...you might want to talk to Rudy and Mr. Taz about getting a V8 in there.

I will be seeing one of the v8's in few weeks but I don't plan on going that far would be nice. I want to be tastefull but want the car to be noticed. The more people that come over to your car at shows = more sponsors

I recommend you to place some corona stickers to your car. Your lime green wheels will look better that way,.

Decided not to go with any green that should make everyone happy. Thinking something carbon fiber on that line maybe. If I paint them it will be gunmetal.
