Dodge Demon Concept Car (The New Crossfire???)
Hi Everyone
Just say this on a Calender at the Dodge dealership.
Dodge Demon has some hints from the V-10 Dodge Viper. The concept that has been used has a 2.4 liter, four-cylinder engine that pushes out 172-horsepower. The Demon concept has 19-inch wheels; however the production model will have either 17 or 18-inch wheels.
For the concept, at least, the Demon uses many Chrysler Crossfire (aka 1998 Mercedes SLK) bits, like the short/long-arm front suspension. As mentioned, there's a multilink in back.

I felt that the 'Razor' conect car that never got green-lit is a much better looking car than this, and quirky as well. A pair of razor scooters instead of a spare tire LMAO

Sorry, hate it. It's a copy of the Pontiac Solstice with Chevy HHR Quarters. BLECHHH!!! It reminds me in no way of our cars as dtinker said
a magnum, an s2000, and a 350Z convertible had a 3-way and this turd popped out
was that dude seriously wearing a motorcycle jacket and holding a razor scooter?!?! how did anyone involved in that picture hold still long enough to keep a straight face.

Did mean to irritate you, it has some similarities to Xfires. Looks like a degraded, low cost product. I like my xfire pretty much just like it is.

Might have decided to change the powertrain. Can't imagine why they would be using any MB parts though, seeing as their partnership ended a few years ago.

that 3rd one actually looks pretty nice, the first 2 looked pretty awkward
(almost as awkward as the badass razor guy)

Yep...this is back from 2007 and never materialized due to the split.
Here's the scoop. 2007 Dodge Demon concept cars
Chrysler still uses some Mercedes components in the Charger/300.
I'm one of those weird, old timer Mopar fanatic. Allpar is a daily web destination for me. My first car was a '69 Charger (440cid) before I even had a license.
Anything new from Chrysler will more than likely be based on a current Fiat. The auto buzz word going around now is 'turbo'. What was old is new again.
personally, I think it's a shame that Chrysler stopped the Crossfire. It could have been continued on the GS platform with the new Pentastar V6 (280hp NA) and badged as a Dodge and a Chrysler.

and it gets better gas mileage than last year, seriously
[quote=RL-2005]then 470 hp and 470 lb ft should be right up your alley, not to mention the new 392 badges (that's 6.4L for zie Germans)
and it gets better gas mileage than last year, seriously[/quote
Love it! I had a '71 Challenger with a 340. It was no race car but I embarrassed quite a few Mustangs/Cameros.
If I ever tire of my Crossfire (doubtful) the Challenger is my next car.
