Talking 19" Mercedes AMG Rims on all four wheels?

Being unable to rotate tires on the XFire due to 18" on front and 19's on rear and get rid of annoying tire noise du to no rotation every 10K was thinkig of picking up a set of AMG either 18 or 19" wheels on ebay so I can rotate the tires, every 5K.

First has anyone done this, second as they are MB wheels will they fit the xfire?

Any comments appreciated

Yes, it has been done (by several I believe)..... yes, the MB wheels will fit fine.. you just need to make sure the offset if right (or use spacers).. go for it

what you will find with most amg rims are that they are staggered setup. so rotation still wont work. look for non amg setups and you may have better luck, but you will lose that great rear vision of huge rubber out back.

So, given you would be running the same heights and widths, would it be better to get rims with different offsets? Or get wheels with the same offsets and use hub-centric spacers on one axle (rear?)

Just use non directional tires so that you can still rotate them from driver to passenger side. Its not the best, but its better than not rotating them at all! Then you would not have to get another set of rims.

32krazy is right, even the Previous-gen. Mercedes C-Class had staggered rims, so the whole Benz/AMG thing might not be your best bet if rotation is crucial.

Jesus, IMHO adding spacers is always the last possible resport, and then, only use a good quality hub centric ones. Any time you add in a piece, in this case a spacer, instead of having the correct offsets, you are just adding something to the list that can fail, not to mention, instead of the wheels being one piece, there is another 'layer' between them and the hub. Anytime you can get wheel to match hub directly, you want to go this route....
