i got to say, i just got my car yesterday, but people were literally speeding up to get a look at it on the freeway, and in pasadena some guy in an nsx was staring really hard, so i pushed the button to "activate" the wing, hehe, just to confuse the hell out of him.

Is your current ride paid off? If not, sounds like the deal they're offering would have you completely paying off your RSX and giving it to them. That could be a big chunk of cash out of your pocket :!:
Yeah, I buy my cars. I don't like the idea of leases. I was just having fun playing with numbers with the salesman and that's what he came up with.

I have had my Crossfire for just over a week now and have had several gawkers. I've been flagged down in parking lots and at gas stations.

I think the best had to be when I pulled into the Ford dealership on Saturday. I traded in my Ford Escape and had to go to the dealer to cancel the extended warranty. I had three salesmen surround me to ask about the car before I could even get out of it. You'd think salesmen would be trained not to drool over vehicles from other manufacturers.

Welcome aboard, C_Plunkett.... Get used to all the "Gawkers" and be ready to answer a ton of questions. I've had mine since Oct. 3 and the attention hasn't eased up at all.... I've had a lot of nice cars but I've never gotten this kind of consistant attention.

Any idea when they are going to have it fixed? Or are they still chasing their tails?

fer sure...

Have they tried disconnecting all of your mods (stereo, neon's, etc.)? When I was in getting my Upsolute, there was another guy at that shop that had done so many mods to his car (not a XF) nobody could figure out which way was up any more in the electrical system. His brake lights were stuck on all the time, but would go out if he hit the brakes, at which time the DRL's on his car would come on. His turn signals also made the brake lights flash off and on. If he opened the door or turned on the interior lighting, the moonroof slid open. The car was TOTALLY POSESSED. All concerned said something like "hmmm.... must be a short somewhere". Well, duh.

I guess moral of the story is don't do too many mods too close together without fully testing each and every one individually? I guess on the good side your dealer doesn't think the ECU upgrade caused this? Have you got a refund from the Upsolute dealer?

With how long that car's been out of commission, if it was me, I'd be putting that 1,000 miles on it tonight.
