I thought it looked pretty darn nice.
The "Shiny" Silver plastic on the dash and consol never bothered me. With the Cedar/Slate interior, there really isn't much else I could do to it anyway, so it's a good thing I'm pleased with what I got.
I have no problems with wood interiors.... just looks terrible when it is a sticker. You have a wood sticker on top and silver on the sides. Just looks bad in my opinion. If they were actual wood panels and not stick on then it would be a different story.

x2 Stick on accessories are lame............just like the new stick on louver craze these days. I'm working on a M-B G550 right now that has REAL wood dash inserts and the owner thought it wasn't enough and he/she bought the stupid bubbly sticker wood and put it around all the a/c vents and even next to the existing wood enhancing its cheapness.

Anyone thinking about putting stick on kits on their interior should look through all of the pictures in this thread first. He ended up having to buy a replacement interior. Not a path I would want to go down.

Having redone my Jaguar center console. I must inform you guys, most of what you guys call real wood is in fact a very thin sheet (1/32-1/16 of an inch) that is epoxied (stuck on, glued on Etc.) and then covered with polyurethane, yep, that's right folks, plastic.
Having gone through the process of buying the maple burl veneer, cutting, bleaching, staining, epoxying, clamping with blocks, Multi coating with clear, color sanding and high speed buffing. I can say with some authority. These plastic ones look as good or better. If they had frames around them people wouldn't know the difference. Actually most think they are wood just the way they are.
This is the peel and stick Carbon Fiber dash kit. It hides that plastic aluminum insult.
sure glad these kits are made. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ersatz WOOD. Gary
it can be ersatz carbon fiber! It looks good in a Black Car.
