Lubrication of N/A Coupe Spoiler
Lubrication of N/A Coupe Spoiler
The spoiler began squeaking upon deployment a couple weeks back. Grabbed some lithium grease at the store, one screw and a careful extraction of the lower plastic cover piece in the hatch and pretty easy access to the motor. Lubed the gears, the piston rods and reinstalled. Done in about 15 minutes. No more squeak. Since it's an easy job for maintenance I'd suggest others do it as preventative.
Lubed the hinges, doors, drivers door key hole (per manual instructions) etc. Half hour of maintenance in total. Happy to have the squeak gone. It's up and down alot here in the area I live in (stop and go traffic) so it really started to bug me.
