Default Questions on New 2005 Models

Over the month of April, some local dealers around here cleared out ALOT of Crossfires... this makes me nervous when I think about where I'm going to find the one I want... I was starting to think I might get an '05, Limited of course... I like the new Blue color that's coming out... otherwise I would get a Black and it makes me worry too much :? ... Does anybody know when dealers should be getting the new models? I know somebody recently posted in 2 weeks... but I'm wondering as far as availabilty and such goes... I'd love to get a new Blue one with the Cedar interior, similar to the one that guy from The Apprentice won (no rag top for me though)... my dealer recently had a Crossfire for around 28 grand... would getting an '05 as soon as they come out mean a much higher price? Thanks!

My dealer had two 05 models on the way in. They have already been built and they are in route to the show room. When I was buing on friday I had the invoice prices from edmunds for the 05 models in hand.

The reason for my visit was to see if I would get a better deal on an 05 model. I ended up getting an 04 which is the same as next years liimited for close to the invoice price for next years stripped model that was in route to the lot (no leather, tc, heated seats, etc). The stripped model also could only be ordered in black...

They actualy pulled the info on the two 05 models and had offers on the table if I wanted them. The new 05 limited coupe was a little over 31k for invoice price (I paid less for my 04 out the door with Tax, Title and Licence then the invoice price of next years limited) and retailed near 34k.

If the limited 05 coupe in blue is worth ~2-3 grand or so more for you (assuming you get it for invoice price) then by all means get it.

let us know what you do.

yeah marc i'd be gettin gthe invoice price for sure... i'm really hesitant about getting a black, although i'd probably rather get the black then blue... i guess i'll have to see what my dealer says as far as the prices go... some people say some of the bugs might be worked out for the '05 models as well... my main reason is that a lot of the dealers around here sold A LOT of crossfires over the past month... either way i'll be happy... long as it's a crossfire

the black was only for the stripped model - you should be able to order blue on the limited. I heard is was a light blue but have not seen it. I also wonder which yellow they picked - you think it was like the prowler yellow?

There is both pictures of the Blue as well as the Yellow in the Gallery... here's the blue...

If anybody is familiar with the Estoril Blue on the E36 M3's ('95-'99) then you'll see it's a similar color... almost changes colors a bit in different light... the Yellow they chose is also in the Gallery... if I remember right I think they called it Classic Yellow...[/url]

Wow!

That is a good blue!

I really like all the colors that they are using on the crossfire. The only one that bugs me is that ceder interior color - it looks orange to me. I think that the ligher red corvettes running around look orange too. I am missing a lot of red and green pigment.

Here this will explain it...

This is what you see:

This is what you would see through my eyes:

The funny part is that both of the picture look exactly the same to me... I am told that one is green and one is brown.

One time I bougt a pair of nice brown dress shows for an event. I only wore them once. I found out they where green and everyone had a laugh at my expense. Needless to say I now have people pick out my clothes and stuff - I even have to drag a couple of friends to the dealership to help me pick out a color for every car I have ever bought. I take them in the day and at night - the arch lighting the dealers have reflects the metallic flake all weird at night and somtimes it turns me off on a color.

I think it is great that they are picking colors that I even like.

I can see why you want the blue one.

You don't want to see one driving past you in a couple of months and want to shoot yourself in the foot for not blowing the extra bucks on one. If that is the case then get the blue one. I made a couple of mistakes like that and was never happy with what I had. I would at least ask for fleet pricing on the 2005 model (1% under invoice).

make sure you tell them not to put the front plate bracket on.

The Cedar interior looks great in some pictures, while in others not so great. Guess the only way to find out is to see it myself. Same with the Blue. Then again, it's not a life or death situation. My main concern is making sure I don't have any trouble getting one and that everything goes smoothly. I'll be sure to tell them not to put the brackets on the front. If anybody else has any information about prices and such, leave on on here. Thanks!

I can't imagine the cedar interior with the blue exterior. IMHO, the new blue color begs for either all dark graphite or the mixed dark/light graphite. I suppose the new cream color interior wouldn't be bad either.

Go to: parkwaycpj.com , they're in Clinton Township and you're a local guy.

They have gotten their first 2005 in stock MSRP @ 37K, must be the limited. Probably will get close to sticker! They have about 8 2004"s left. You can save a bunch of bucks!!
