Classic Crossfire moment...
Well, again, the salesman who was with me in that Red Coupe yesterday knew NOTHING about the car. It was a Toyota dealership, they took it in on trade. He said that he "had been having fun driving it around - this 6 speed is awesome and people sure look at ya a lot in it!"
I wondered if that was salesmanship or the truth. Sounds like it was the truth to me - but then, Coupe or Roadster - I like 'em in RED. Graphite is pretty, mostly in the Coupe, but RED just kills, IMO.

My Roadster alongside a RED Coupe!

No matter, I'll buy a Coupe even if it doesn't draw attention, but I WAS wondering cause I like 'em so much that having a Roadster DOES NOT make up for NOT having a Coupe!

You are in a red, rare, classicly styled automobile, if that doesn't get you the attention you desire, I would try hanging a benjamin franklin out of your pants fly LMAO
I pulled up to get gas at my local and the young clerk behind the counter was just staring at the car, i walked up to pay for the gas and He said in a sad tone of voice "man I'l never get to own a car like that dude" aww bless his cotton socks...i felt bad for him...but not bad enough to tell him I only paid 10 grand for it!
I think that the coupes are better looking and carry the lines well. The roadsters lose something with the soft top. Dont kill me, just my 2 cents. HOWEVER, both are beautiful and I'm sure get pretty equal treatment and attention. I mean seriously, coupe or roadster, is ther a bad looking XF?

Of the currently available 2 seat roadsters out there the Crossie has the best butch look of a '32 bucket "T" hot rod of the 60's.
From the side, with the top up or down, the roadster has cool lines that just say "sexy."
But from the rear, the coupe just begs you to own one. every time we do a GTG and i get behind one I want to go buy another one. (Which is why Crumpy makes me follow ERZER's red Roadster all the time.)
In the end, that's why I have one of each. Just couldn't decide which I liked better.

Chevy has got the electric thingy for $44K
A decent minivan is in the $40's
Today $25K can get you a high milage coupe to drive hard as hell, and a decent low milage vert to play with on warm Sundays. What can you buy, mid 2004's to 2008 year model, that can do that as well?
Of course it helps to have a mate who want's her own crossie.

1927 was the last of the T-Buckets.

T' BUCKETAndI believe '32 was the last model year for the bucket style. 1927 was the introduction of the last model, which was produced virtually the same until '32. Back then we didn't get a new version every year.
BTW, this last exchange was Fun, firemax has such a depth of knowledge. Thereby proving that being an old fart has advantages.
Seriously though, the banter between car buffs here about cars is clearly a Crossfore moment. Every time.

In the 10 days I've owned my Limited Coupe, I haven't yet had a strange hottie jump into the passenger, but I have had 2 people ask me what kind of car it is while getting gas, and 2 people say "nice car" in the grocery parking lot.
I bought mine on the used lot at a Subaru dealer and they couldn't wait to get that thing off the lot because it was the focus of the majority of customers that day! When I was signing the paperwork the sales guy locked the doors because there was a constant line of people climbing into it.

Odd how it's such a hot car (the coupe and the roadster), yet no one wants to buy one. Guess it's that "where is the back seat and spare tire" thing.

1928,29,30, & 31's were Model A's, and 1932 was the beginning of the Model B's (but you seldom hear anybody call them that). This newer style was a "slab sided" design and I've never heard them ever being called T Buckets.
When you made your comment about the "Butch" look of the 32 Bucket T, I thought you were refering to the similar design of the Model A, and B's rear end (when viewed from the side) compared to the Crossfire roadster.
I mentioned the High Boy in particular because their drivers usually enjoy a very low seating position like us Crossfire owners do, as opposed to the seating position of a true Bucket T, that looks like it's occupants are riding on top of it instead of inside of it.
John, thanks for the "props", and if I ever bring my Dodge to any of our GTG's, you'll be more than welcome to drive it. My friends sometimes think of me as a virtual encyclopedia of useless knowledge.

IS your real name "Normie?"
We called 'em bucket "T's" in my neck of the woods. As do a few Kit builders.
Coupla guys had them with Chromed up Oldsmobile V8's powering them.
Guess I ran with the wrong crowd.

I was visiting my brother in Denton, Texas a couple of weeks ago and we were at a european pub on the square, there was a parking spot right up front and of course i took it, so to make a long story short I was sittign out on the sidewalk having some paulaner and a group of 8-10 people are walking down the side walk and stop go over to my car and surround it, they were putting their hands up to the glass trying to see past the tint, so me being a gentleman spoke up and said "yall can look inside if yall want." it looked like six flags, everybody got in line and took turns looking inside, if they only knew how much i paid for it
