injector question
I am about to buy these. I am just wondering on how much hp gain I would get and if these would fit. Would it help my off the line time and also my 1/4 mile time. A good buy?
Thank you everyone. I have a limited 6 speed. 2001 - 2003 Mercedes CLK430 Fuel Injector Set (8) - eBay (item 370476155749 end time Mar-18-11 10:19:40 PDT) |

Re: injector question
Did we determine if they will fit the XF fuel rails?

Re: injector question
Not sure what you are trying to gain. Unless you are adding more air like with a turbo or supercharger you don't need larger fuel injectors.

Well is it the same diameter? Lol so will it fit. Mhm |

Re: injector question
I have a tune, bigger throttle body, bigger maf, 3 inch front mount cold air intake, full exhaust. Well I really wanna figure out iff they gonna fit

If you haven't already bought a tune, look into the recent deal Eurocharged has posted. $265 and a lot more gain than you'll see from injectors alone. **edit** just read your last post, nvm |
Re: injector question
Yeah that's np. Just trying to figure out if it would be worth it. Even just a lil gain an will they work and fit?

Re: injector question
Eh idk, I beg to differ a bit cause tvt and some other companies sell bigger injectors. And not everyone is adding a turbo or supercharer. Idk just iffy. An will these work?

Problem solved. We'll await the track results. |
Re: injector question
Ahah whoa hold on now =P lol. Ahahah I'm trying to figure things out just dnt like wat i m hearing lol. Cause I kno people see upgraded ones got to be a reason...

Re: injector question
It has been described in several different ways, but the most basic thing I can think of is this:
You will ONLY need upgraded injectors if the air-flow you currently have causes them to exceed their duty cycle. More air sends a signal to the ECU to ramp up fuel supply. The question is, how much is too much? Certainly supercharged applications require more fuel because they provide at least 50% more airflow through the MAF. Rob from Needswings should be able to answer these questions to the precision you demand. Otherwise, we're all going to agree that we don't truly know how much of a waste of money they'll be on the N/A Crossfire, but we're fairly certain they'll be pointless enough that we wouldn't buy them. Yet. ;) |
Re: injector question
I am planning on a 74mm TB, which could probably get by with the stock. My car is doing 195RWHP now and I just added the K&N fitlers, so it should be close to 200RWHP now. If I add any refinement to the exhaust, I will need more fuel. It's not just for today, I saw what looked like a good buy on the injectors and thought I would buy them while I could get a good price.

Re: injector question
I am 99.9% sure they will fit. I remember when I pulled my V6 out that the fuel injectors looked exactly the same as the ones in my V8. the only difference was a difference in color which is a color coding for their fuel rate.
