Default injector question

I am about to buy these. I am just wondering on how much hp gain I would get and if these would fit. Would it help my off the line time and also my 1/4 mile time. A good buy?
Thank you everyone. I have a limited 6 speed.

They probably wont make any diffence by just putting them in. To benefit from larger injectors, the existing ones need to be too small; in other words, unless you are increasing the amount of fuel the engine needs.. you don't need a larger injector.

Did we determine if they will fit the XF fuel rails?

They should, as long as its a bosch injector (which it is) it will be the same diameter.

Not sure what you are trying to gain. Unless you are adding more air like with a turbo or supercharger you don't need larger fuel injectors.

I can't read the part number molded into the injector body, I would be able to tell you alot more with those numbers. You need a low impedance injector, which those should be but I can't tell you for sure. I dont know what the flow rate is on them either. You're wasting your money unless you are planning on doing other things involving a tune. The injectors wont open for long enough if they are too big.

This...

If you haven't already bought a tune, look into the recent deal Eurocharged has posted.

$265 and a lot more gain than you'll see from injectors alone.

**edit** just read your last post, nvm

Yeah that's np. Just trying to figure out if it would be worth it. Even just a lil gain an will they work and fit?

If you added everything you said you had then got it tuned, the tuner should have optimized the engines performance with what you had. You don't need a bigger injector unless your injectors are running at too high of a duty cycle, because you will burn them out. Changing to a bigger injector will theoretically add more fuel across the board, assuming the ecu is opening the injector enough and the pulse width modulation is correct. More fuel does not equal more power, your tuner should have given it the right amount of fuel, especially at wide open throttle. You can tune for the bigger injectors and arrive at the same power you made before, unless your injector were clogged, burnt out etc. The bigger injectors will run at a lower duty cycle, but the amount of fuel you need will not change. Buying used injectors is a gamble. Unless you did something that requires more fuel (turbo, supercharger, nitrous) you don't need a bigger injector.

Eh idk, I beg to differ a bit cause tvt and some other companies sell bigger injectors. And not everyone is adding a turbo or supercharer. Idk just iffy. An will these work?

You seem more than confident that these things will give you something you don't have, so just buy them and install them and prove us all wrong!

Problem solved. We'll await the track results.

It has been described in several different ways, but the most basic thing I can think of is this:

You will ONLY need upgraded injectors if the air-flow you currently have causes them to exceed their duty cycle. More air sends a signal to the ECU to ramp up fuel supply. The question is, how much is too much? Certainly supercharged applications require more fuel because they provide at least 50% more airflow through the MAF.

Rob from Needswings should be able to answer these questions to the precision you demand. Otherwise, we're all going to agree that we don't truly know how much of a waste of money they'll be on the N/A Crossfire, but we're fairly certain they'll be pointless enough that we wouldn't buy them. Yet.

I am planning on a 74mm TB, which could probably get by with the stock. My car is doing 195RWHP now and I just added the K&N fitlers, so it should be close to 200RWHP now. If I add any refinement to the exhaust, I will need more fuel. It's not just for today, I saw what looked like a good buy on the injectors and thought I would buy them while I could get a good price.

see i have the 74mm TB, 74mm Maf, 3 inch cold air k&n, full custom exhaust, and a euro tune. so i figured the injectors would be a nice topping. i just bought them off ebay. i was like w,e eff it lol

I am 99.9% sure they will fit. I remember when I pulled my V6 out that the fuel injectors looked exactly the same as the ones in my V8. the only difference was a difference in color which is a color coding for their fuel rate.
