thanks danwell. i truly had wmichaels in mind when mouse posted this! wes will be the autocross legend of this forum, no doubt about it. i loved the other guesses, though...as i, too, enjoy figuring out personalized plates! and it brings a smile to my face there there was ultimately some sentimental aspect to mouse's choice... (we are our parents!) bonster

jsisabella previously inquired about bonsterbum, and when i provided an explanation to the tag, he mentioned his spouse and bonnie (aka boni). interesting enough, i mentioned that THAT was actually my license plate (and has been ever since i was in high school...on the first car my parents gave me!...wasn't a chrysler, was a classic mustang, but when i bought my 'own' first car ('82 laser ex, gun metal blue, all options, etc) i was hooked on chryslers. the 'boni' tage remains! bonster

Default ECECU question from above.

It is a school plate that must start with E. East Carolina has a cheer that is E, EC, ECU.... Best answer we have.

Default My Plate, Take 2

I'm bummed... I just got a reject message from the California DMV for "TR1CK" -- guess you can't replace letters with numbers.

So, just ordered attempt #2. Figured it works for me *and* the car:

Hey Trick,

Thanks for sharing the sight for the license plates. I mock made my XOTTOX one and it looks cool.

I can't copy and paste it to here to show you though. How did you do that?

trick,

Did you get an immediate response back from the DMV? When I did mine it only took a few minutes and the credit card reference number came back and my confirmation number.

Mouse -- I did. But a couple weeks later (today) I got the letter in the mail saying it was rejected (because I was "using a number to represent a letter, or vice versa"), and they'd be crediting my VISA.

S'OK, though -- I like the new one, too.

As far as how I posted it, I've got my own web server, and put an image link in my post that points back to my server. Some people use image hosting sites, but I don't know anything about those.

Here's what yours looks like on my server:
