TPMS Leaking?
I went to swap out my winter tires for summer ones and I asked the tech to look at a leak I have on one of the rears.
Its really slow and most noticeable when you put air in and relaease the nozzle it will hiss
push the pin around stops it but still leaks slowly.
The tech informed me the sensor is leaking and needs to be replace is this possible?
They wanted 70$ installed for the new sensor.
been going there for years and they are pretty honest as far as I can tell.

Any alternatives other then going to the dealer

The new sensor needs to be programed to the monitor. Dealer can do it, if your handy there is I believe a thread on here that talks about using a magnet to program the sensor

The sensor consists of two assemblies, the sensor itself and the stem. The stem assembly comes as a rebuild kit and should be replaced when the unit is put in another rim. That's just a safety as yanking the stem through the hole, out of one and into the other, might damage it.
Also it sounds like it could have been just the valve itself a 25 cent item.
If the unit cannot be programmed it may have been damaged as mentioned above.
The Crossfire sensors are two types, one uses a magnet and the other does not.
It is possible that they have installed the wrong sensor.
O'Reilly and Schrader list two different OEM part numbers, for years '04, '06 to '08, to be replaced by Schrader part#20028 they are 52088990AC and 5096808AA. The '05 and SRT6 OEM part is #5142340AA, Schrader part #20066
TPMS Assembly it is missing rubber Rim Seal. This is not a Crossfire part.

TPMS Rebuild Kit (Not for Crossfire)

Certain Corvette sensors are able to be opened and have the battery replaced. There are many how to's on this on the web.
I am sure that the others probably can be fixed as well, after all how hard can it be?

They are snapped together and held with the nut. See the repair kit in post#10.
