LOW LEVEL FLYING AT ITS FINEST. Thanks to all for making it happen. AND, when is the Colorado Roundup? Got some great routes here!
WOW  can you still walk.

It was great everyone made it, just shows that a Left Coast Hookup isn't something to be missed

Let's see, LA->Monterey in May, Vegas in Sept, Colorado (after winter thaw), do I hear Yosemite next year?

Thanks to everyone who posted their pics...and it was really great meeting everyone...too many characters to mention, but suffice it to say that I'll look forward to racing Greg again, be led thru U-turns by Will, ding Edward's door (not really), and lead Theresa and Stefan to the wrong offramp!

And sorry you all missed taking Highway 1 south at 10pm at night tho...was amazing...no cars on the road to avoid or slow me down (although it's clear what all the north Cal kids do on a Saturday night...every single turnout had one car parked in it!)...so was able to drive fast and soooo smoothe thru all those twists and turns...did the two hour drive in just over one...a slice of heaven!

That would be a beautiful drive. Sounds like we will have to make it one of our trips.

Thanks so much for your suggestion of Tarpys Restaurant and setting the dinner reservations up for us. We could not have had a better place to eat. The setting was great, the meal was excellent, the service was super, and most of all, the company was FANTASTIC !!

About 3860 miles, give or take a few hundred. Thank the heated seat for my ability to still walk. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is truly a driver's car....get them on the road and enjoy!!. The only Crossfires in this trip that I saw were the group's. Many funny stories, tho. Jacki thought the parking valets at the Westin in San Francisco were going to steal it or part it out because 10 minutes after handing them the keys, they were still opening and closing the doors and hatch, looking to see what it was.
I popped back out to see if everything was ok and had to answer a whole lot of car questions. They had not seen one at the hotel yet. I absolutely punished a Lancer Evo (California plate EVOVIII) through Virgin River Canyon Country. He is still pondering the proper line through a few curves. Best story happened in Green River, Wy. Pulled into the gas station and watched as 8 Harley riders left the men's room line to come and look at the car. I raced for the men's room, yelling that I would be right back. Came back out and had a whole lot of answering to do...all car questions. Absolutlely hilarious as they politely asked if they could look inside and we traded a few shots of road wisdom. They wanted me to go back West as part of the pack! Politely declined. There is nothing like a great road trip and this was one of the best! 8) Kinda wondering what I'm gonna do for fun this weekend. Rgds to all.

 What a trip!!! Gotta say this car brings out the F-U-N in everyone!!

I am in the process of posting my pics on the web so I can share them. So hard - there are over 300 and I'm really trying to keep it under 100. Which to post, which not to post .... what a dilemma.

Will attach the link probably over the weekend.

If anyone minds having their (forum) name posted with their picture, please PM me now - otherwise, you just might be discovered!!!

  OK - I have just about finished posting the pictures in clubphoto. The link is:

I really had to cut out a lot of great pictures - but I think these are pretty representative. Please, if I have the wrong caption under a picture, like the wrong place, or a wrong name, please let me know. I did it from memory and I could possibly be wrong

I would like to thank AZ for letting us all share "his vacation". He did so much work with the maps and the scheduling of times. Diane, thanks for your help with the coordination also. I think it was really nice of Sunny9850 to offer his passenger seat to Tdancer, who flew in from Alabama to Phoenix, they drove from Phoenix to Santa Monica and back again. Will, we can hardly wait to see the pictures that you had taken of us in Santa Barbara. Too bad you couldn't spend more time with us - we needed the Alabaster car. cgates, thanks for making our dinner reservations! You picked the perfect restaurant. I think it is wonderful that Mr. & Mrs. cwdilg came all the way from Colorado. Actually, although none of the rest of us drove nearly as far as they did, we had a lot of dedicated drivers coming a long way for the trip. Wish Trick could have travelled with us at least a little while - we needed his Black car representation as well! And pageoneresults ... well everyone votes that you definitely kept your car the cleanest :!:

I sure hope I have not forgotten to mention anyone in particular. I'm sorry I didn't get pictures of everyone ... next time I will

I had a GREAT time and I am so looking forward to our next meet ... and many more!

Well - parking 5 XF's was a lot easier than parking 11

I think we are all going to get plenty of practice - looks like we already have 4 more trips planned!!

Vegas
Colorado
Yosemite
Arizona

And the list will continue ....

Darn ... I'm going to have to go buy more Compact Flash Cards for my camera!!! 8)
