Curb kicked my rims ***. Has big scrap marks on the side of them.

Thanks in advance

here's a site that provides a detailed process for do-it-youself repair and repainting of scuffed wheels:
http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/940057.phtml
many wheel shops and auto body places will also do these repairs for significantly less than buying new wheels.

according to the paperwork attached , 1% of the car is american-made. i suspect it's the owners manual since it's a sorta-standard chrysler format.
the rims are german as strudel.

The rims were made in poland. I know this because it says "made in poland" on the inside. Take one off, see for yourself. However the paint is prob supplied by a german vendor.
Either way, if it was me, I'd have a professional do the job.

I dont know where you live but....... Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of PA,Inc fixed my curbed wheel inside there custom machine shop on wheels. They charged me 100.00 and the end result was a perfect remig welded rim edge and then color matched with the exact factory paint used by Daimler Bens. There web site is http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com/ and they gave me a lifetime guarantee on the job they did for me. Cost for a new new rim was 268.00 so i bought one from the dealer (front) now i have a spare. If you talk to the head of the service dept they will order you a new rim at cost if they dont call me 267-312-5329 i am a sales mgr at the worlds largest chrysler dealership and i would be glad to help out one of my fellow XFIRE brothers and yes the wheels are made in Poland thak god for the polocks they make a beautyfull aluminum alloy wheel. Occasionally the place I work at do the odd wheel refurb. It costs of the order of £50 a wheel, that's approx $70. So I would advise a professional refurbisher. I might get mine done around the time tyres need replacing. I've curbed mine already, only had it a month. I'm used to much higher profile tyres. All this dodging of kerbs is a bit tedious!
I have done this many times with great results. Assuming it's damage on the outer rim.
You will need one fine file, one medium, and one rough file.
(1) remove the wheel for best results. Although I have done this with the wheel on. You don't want to scrape the tire. Just be careful.
(2) start with the rough or medium file depending on the damage and begin to carefully file the damaged/scraped area. Then finish with a fine file. Apply harder pressure and feather with lighter pressure until blended in to the area that is not damaged.
(3) option. You can finish with 1500-2000 wet/dry sandpaper using the paper wet with a soap solution and water.
(4) tape and spray the area with a matching silver metallic auto paint. I have had good luck with Pep Boys auto finish touch up paint. Doesn't matter what car the paint is for. Try to match the silver color. Then spray with clear. Let dry for 1 week and rub out with compound. It will be very hard to see any existing damage.
I did this with two aluminum rims off of a BMW M3 and the Crossfire. Looked great when I was finished and only cost me about $10.00 plus elbow grease.
Never had any tire balance issues afterwards.
I didn't paint the last wheel I just rubbed with compound and polished. Looked fine.

Check around a couple of your local auto dealerships, not necessarily Chrysler. A lot of them contract with professional wheel refinishers when they have a dealership car that gets curbed or take in a trade that needs some rim work. The local Mercury place here put me in touch with a company that does it for about $100/rim, but I put my roadster in storage before I could get it taken care of. Now it's a summer project.
