How do I find out when my car was made?

 

Open your driver door - and the build month and year will be on the upper right hand corner of the tag.

 

Also, at the bottom of this tag, next to the VIN#, is a series of numbers. These numbers indicate the month, day, & time the car was built. Mine reads 012111, which means the car was built Jan. 21 at 11AM

Mine was built 06/03, but if I read the numbers under the build date the way that NMDude says, it was actually built 05/27 at 2PM :!:

 

Wow.... they really cranked them out in 06/03.... #1647 - 2896 That's 1249. cars in a month... and there are probably more than that. Come to think of it they produced over 23K so I guess that's about right. Just never thought about how many they had a build per month.

 

I think if there's that many cars built,they must be hiding them some where ,I don't think there on the lot's.

 

I know that someone on the forum has a build number over 23k. I know that when I bought mine the dealer told me that DC was going to produce 20k 2004 models. I was surprised to see people here with numbers over 20k.

Has anyone heard how many 2005s will be produced? Coupes? Roadsters? SRT6s?

 

So...out of curiosity - what is the number of yours in in the lower right hand corner????

So maybe it started being built on 5/27 and was finished in June? :roll:

Oh - my baby is about to have her 1 year birthday!!! Poor thing, she stayed at the adoption home longer than I realized :wink:
