Default Today Was The Day......

Tomorrow is the day I take my car in for the radiator hose recall and for the new wind noise TSB.

I have already looked at the radiator hose. It is fine, so I am not worried about that. 8)

The service manager called me to tell me the wind noise fix was going to be done in the body shop :!:

I will let you all now how it goes......

Hope I getr a decent loaner

Be sure to tell it you love it before you go. Tell it about all the new friends it will make at the dealership, and be strong for it.

I know it's hard letting go when your baby has been with you every day, and has never been away from home alone before. But, at some point, we all have to let go of our babies and let them fly free, even if it is just down to the body shop.

Dammit, I'm getting all choked up. This just reminds me so much of when I had to drop mine off to get those paint chips repaired.

<sniff>

I just got my car 2 weeks ago so I'm assuming this recall was fixed. Is there anyway I can make sure?

Trick:

I don't remember if you were around during the "bobby episode".

I just do not want to be "bobbified" by the dealer!!!

My dealer has been good to me, but the thought of the car all apart has me a bit nervous.

By the way: The recall notice is D11

And D/C called it a "customersatisfaction notification - radiator inlet hose" - but it is a recall notice :-)

Hi,

What wind noise are you having fixed? The only noise I seem to get is that rumble, when I drive with the window down. It's the wind on the seat belt whipping!

The car is back home, and the problem is fixed! Both doors were apart, adjusted, and put back together. Very professional job.

They even gave me a printed copy of both TSB's for the wind noise fixes. So if anyone wants a copy, let me know.

Cruiser:

The wind noise was a problem with the windows up at highway speeds. Very distracting. You can read about this in the TSB's thread of this forum. That rumble you hear is common to most cars if you only have one window down. Crack the other window just a bit, and it will disappear.
