Thumbs down looking for suggestions

I just bought an 05 coupe, 3.2 liter, and would like to upgrade some of the plastic interior components, the console, the control panel, etc. also I'm looking for performance upgrades. Can anyone suggest what works, doesen't work, etc? I love the car, but the interior is so cheap it's terrible. I think maybe i should have bought the SRT (the supercharged model). Can the supercharger be added to the regular coupe like mine?
Anything anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Also, can you tell me what tires would provide the best ride and decrease in road noise?

You can get your car up to SRT levels and even faster if you want. It could cost anywhere from 8-10K. I have considered it myself.

As for the interior... compared to other cars our interior is not that bad. I remember looking at the new mustang when it came out in 2005. The interior was cheap and disgusting. One of the things that attracted me to the crossfire was the interior looked better than most domestic vehicles at the time.

Whatever you do, do not use a dash kit.

If it has a permanent wing, then it's the SRT.

If the wing moves up/down via the console switch, or when exceeding 65 MPH, it's not an SRT, but either a Base or Limited model (no OEM supercharger)...

I love the interior because it's a sports car plain and simple. If you wanted a luxury interior, you should have bought a luxury car. If you wanted a quieter ride, you should have bought a luxury car.
The interior of the SRT-6 is virtually identical, except for the seat upholstery.

If you bought an automatic... you should just go back out and get an SRT.

If you like driving stick, however, you're "stuck" with the N/A.

Check out this thread: Clicky Clicky for pictures (you have to scroll down) of what the console/other pieces look like painted black! Might even want to shoot him a PM.

It would be interesting if the SLK interior components fit the Crossfire's seeing as they are virtually the same car; but ours is better.

Here is the center console of an SLK Kompressor, the faux stone effect is cool. I think Benz had plenty of wood options and solid colors for this piece. Junk yard shopping trip.

I think you can confirm with a search, but short of a few buttons, none of the actual 'panels' will transfer over, to the best of my knowledge....

Yeah when I sent a PM to Airscape he said he had to sand down the temp dials to fit because they are a little bigger than the crossfire ones.

So I assume he just popped out all the buttons and switches and placed them in the existing panels.
