Welcome to the group!!
If you happen to go further south of Atlanta, I'm in Tampa and by all means stop on by. You can crash here if you like. (Crash may not have been a good word to use on a vehicle forum)

I don't think you will miss the cedar interior, the two-tone grey goes much better. The serial # is the last numbers of the VIN. That is a really low number for this late date in production. I bought mine in November 03 and the serial is 009941. If your not obligated to that particular Crossfire I would request a later car.
The manual "recommends" a 1000 mile break in period. I don't think many people observe that, I started horsing mine around after about 500.
Welcome to the Crossfire family, and you chose the right color......

Mine went into service on October 4, 2003, and my # is 2476. I was under the impression that they were not going to start over with serial numbers, but they may have changed their minds....
SSB with two tone interior? Perfect!!!!
Happy driving!!!!

 My thought is that the last 6 numbers of the VIN may very well be "duplicated" because the first "how ever many" numbers of the VIN are probably different - showing it is a 2005 model (if that's the case here).
So .... we just might have to start showing our production numbers with our year ..... for example #1647-04 or something like that.
bhagan - we might need you to PM someone with your full VIN # when you get it so we can compare.

the 10th character in your vin is for the model year. often it is a letter that corresponds to a year. in our case, it's numeric (either a 4 or 5), so it's quite easy to decipher.
one thing that is interesting on the crossfire's vin is the first character, a "1", which identifies the country in which the vehicle is manufactured. u.s. = 1, germany = w. go figure.
correct. there are still early production crossfires (spring/summer '04 build dates) that have never been titled. but if you were "ordering" one to be built the last 6 digits of the vin would have to be higher than those already known to exist.
