Why you don’t put AMG on your Crossfire

this doesn't count right? because it came that way...

I think what threw them off was the "chevrons" on the airbox. At first glance, if you count the nose shroud, mine appears to have four chevrons per side, which is what yours has. On closer inspection they realize I only have six (total), but by then, the compliment has already been paid.
Regardless of the private lounge shenanigans, perhaps they would be p!ssed to know that some of the tightest friendships in the wrenching world span across their forums. Secret societies are normally the most fun when you can't access them, but aspire to. Once you're in, you simply realize that you're merely a class below the next level of snobs (i.e, the Lamborghini forum) that won't allow you inside.
Our forum welcomes everyone, and looks down on no one. That's why I have five years and thousands of posts invested here. I only visit the AMG/Mercedes forums when I need car parts.

a challenge, I like that, but who ended up with holes their yard? I am home today taking it easy, drinkin' a few beers later on....Tomorrow, tearing the front end off the roadster. Maybe tackle the roll bars. Coupe is scheduled to go in the next couple of weeks. I have decided I will grind off every damned AMG emblem I see on the car, and re-stamp it "Made in the USA"...who's the poser now?.....lol......have fun everyone, and I know you can't see it....middle finger extended....lol....

This thread is funny. Keep it up!
Ohh... I was also thinking of getting plates (tags) that say AMG ****
Is anyone going to object to that???

You have to remember what separates the AMG cars from the ordinary Mercedes cars. It's not a badge on the trunk lid. It's not a special website or even a lounge with snooty drinks. It's all about the performance parts and the HAND BUILT ENGINE. Yeah. I saw the video of Hans making engines and putting his plaque on it at the end. Very cool.
Well, guess what? The same guys made all the SRT-6 engines. So that makes my car just as much an AMG as yours.
Is the guy in your picture a poser? Probably. I really doubt he's got any performance parts on that car, let alone a hand built AMG motor. But to put Crossfires in that same boat is silly.
It seems to me you've gotten a little attitude since moving over to the SLK 55 AMG.
Don't make me bring my MINI to the Dragon just to put your SLK in it's place!
