My CROSS Thinks It Is King Of The Road
It used to be my daily driver now I hardly drive it (garage queen). I gave it a drive this morning on the highway. What A FEELING! Zipping around on the highway switching from lane to lane. Sitting inside what feels like a little cockpit low to the ground. My car was moving like it owned the road no matter what other cars were doing around it. It felt like my car suddenly had a mind of its own. Really brought back the memories of what it felt like to drive this car every day. It just felt good to get it out of the garage.
In my daily driver (SUV) I am used to getting kicked around by agressive drivers. It feels good to kick around the other cars for once and be the king of the road. It feels good to touch the pedal and feel the power... to switch lanes with ease at 80 MPH.

Paid a heavy price in 2005 but it was considered a fair deal at that time when the economy was on fire. I just didn't "steal" it at rock bottom prices like some others here did when dealerships were giving them away.
I can tell you... the prices people are paying for used crossfires today is a steal. A German car like this should be worth a lot more than what they are selling for. It is the best kept hidden secret.
These cars are a kick to drive. I always get a rush, whether I am driving it every day or fresh after a week of being parked.
Worst trip I have ever taken in a Benz has always been the last one to it's new owner. All the while I am asking myself "why am I selling this beaustiful German art?"
Hope I never have to take that last ride in my Crossie.
As for "king of the road" the stats don't say it. However, my butt meter does, everytime I drive it.

I said it before, I have been lucky to have owned a lot of nice cars, but these little cars are just fun to drive...again, because I don't have a lot invested like some others I have owned, it makes it more enjoyable. Coupe for play, roadster for cruisin'...can't get any better than that. Black, you and I will never agree on much, but, I do agree the best defense is offense...I always stay ahead of the pack.

Love you franc, don't plan on using the crossfire for this purpose anytime soon

Cremation is fine for me. Pour the ashes in the toilet or on Hippie ridge. iI could care less cause,,,,,,,,,,,,,well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm dead.
Then, give my Crossie to my Grandson so he can terrorize his dad.
Fair Dinkum, no?

I learned a long time ago to ride my Norton ahead of traffic. Because It's Safer. Never with or behind. I do the same with my Crossfire Srt6 because I can.
gary
We found out "AFTER" we bought the place it had been squatted on by hippies since the 60's. Shacks and tents and groupie structures, all gone in the Forest fire of 2008.
We call it Cisco Springs but the locals all refer to it as Hippie ridge.
They are winning.
sorry, of topic but......................

I just want to say... I know I have a history of pissing you off. My apology. I am trying to tone myself down around here and get along
Now that is more like it...we can disagree all day, but need to leave as friends each night...not a problem....Hell, if I can tolerate the democrats on here, why not you...lol...stay safe...
I troll on people every day in my car, the Crossfire's reputation is shot anyway lol. I just can't stand when people don't use their blinkers and I especially hate when they do emergency lane changes at red lights just to get ahead of the person in front of them.. I just don't let people walk all over me in the car, especially because they feel they can because its small lol.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, I never hesitated in citing idiots like that...in fact, it would make my day...lol....Several years back, we had a '91 Camaro, I had it for 2 years. It paid for itself in citations. Loved that car so much, I bought myself a '92 Heritage pkg Camaro that same year...point is, they never knew until it was too late who they had just cut-off, or blew by, or, in some cases, wanted to race...lol

passing on the right shoulder of the road....you know, time it just right, whip over into the right turn lane, and pass on the right shoulder ahead of all the other traffic....it is an "improper lane change".....lol.....

People, who are more important than you, do it all the time.
It is a ticketable offense.
