I try to drive in a way where I can block idiots from cutting me off, but I'd be glad to slow down for people who use their blinkers. I would rather have somebody side-swipe me at a low speed than rear end them, just to cover my own ***. It's kind of hard to deny you are at fault when you side swipe someone at a red light while they are in the right lane.. but explaining that the guy cut me off and I rear ended him will get me nowhere. I don't drive like the king of the road by any means, but I troll..
As an ex Long Islander I will tell you this.... people drive like that all over!

I love driving out of NY.. I always crack up when I am driving back from PA or pretty much anywhere else, because people driving like civilized humans for miles and miles... People get out of faster traffic's way, use blinkers and use proper passing procedures.. then out of no where people start dipping traffic and stop using blinkers, that's how I know I am almost home lol. I really hate New York overall, there's nothing at all that makes me want to stay besides my family... With any luck I'll move next year when I finish school.

well, you are just getting cut-off...still isn't right. Here that can be 'road rage' but it's a discresionary call.. I used to "butt" chew the tailgaters, and those who would cut people off...today, you can get cited for "road rage" if you are doing it intentional...big time fine...people are just inconsiderate today, no patience...you should be in a big rig and watch what I see everyday...they don't know how close they are at dying sometimes....

Road rage and car jacking are less of a problem because nobody knows who is packing in 49 States. An armed society need no police.

A guy with road rage will not think that far ahead. His focus is on doing you in any way he can and he may be packing too. Don't ever expect any rational thoughts from a road rager.

You may have a valid point with the car jacking.

No, he has absolutely NO point at all. An armed society means a car jacker can get shot. And, there is always a need for police. You just haven't needed one yet. Arm yourself America, and the bad guys know they can get shot. Take away your right, and only the bad guy will be armed. As far as road rage, let them go, they will get caught sooner or later. You don't how many reports a day the dispatcher get from the guy who got cut off. Cell phones are everywhere, and they now can take video of the idiot that is weaving in and out of traffic, with license plate info and all. The judge loves to see that. It makes his or her job easier. You be the smart one, and just drive your car the right way, and let the police handle the idiots out there. We each know if we break the law, there is a good chance we will get caught. Thus my favorite saying: Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. It's all in a days work.

Just did 2,800 miles in a rental "Rogue".....Blackhawk, Durango, Carlsbad, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon & Vegas...(flew home). Usually....80-85 mph.....I don't think we encountered but about 1 cop. It's nice that they're not out there trying to nail people in wide open spaces. I remember driving to California & back in a TR-7 when the limit was 55........2 tickets on that trip.

Yep... For real. I took a chill pill. Just washed and waxed my car so I am too tired to cause trouble. 100 degrees outside. Glad my garage is air conditioned. Makes it a lot easier!

Those were strange days, when I traded in my 73 GT6 MK III for that TR-7 the dealership gave me hundreds more in trade in than I paid for the GT6 + I had talked them down on the selling price of the TR-7 + I got a $1K rebate. Then about 2 years later a Chevy dealership gave me about $1K more in trade in for new Vette than I figure I really paid for the TR-7. Drove the Vette for 10 years & got about 70% of the original sticker price back out of it selling it for cash. Those were high inflation years, I'll admit.

None of those cars could even touch my XFs re. quality, acceleration, top speed, handling, etc.
