Default Best Gas

I'll be taking a little run from Quebec City and down into New Hampshire & Vermont later this week. Can any of our US brothers advise me of which stations are best to get the 94 gas?
Thanks

94? I don't think it's available in the USA. 93 is the highest I'm aware of. I do miss Sunoco 94 when I lived in Jersey years ago.

Sunoco switched to Petrocan here a little over a year ago, but most of the converted stations still carry the 94. Our regular gas is an 87, with standard premium being 91, and I use it when I have to.
I'll be happy with 93 - is it available at all stations?

Well, that will make it easy, then. Any recommended brands?

Is that 93 with or without ethanol. Here in Oklahoma best is 91 without.

All gas is the same, the difference being additives. I shop by price and have for 45 years. I have never experienced a bad tank, but I do try and avoid E10 (10% ethanol) in my Audi A6 as it has a bad habit of throwing catalytic converter CELs in hot weather when I use it. If you have any worries, stick with the larger companies: Shell, Mobil, BP rather than mom/pop convenience stores. You'll want to fill up before heading back to the great white north as gas is still cheaper here.

Thanks. I have noticed some differences with a major brand here that I personally boycott. It once set off my sensors after a fill-up and the service engine light came on (did I say Esso?). So, I thought I'd see of there's a preferred brand there as well.
I'll be sure to fill up before I come back.

This kicks it up a bit. Torco Accelerator - It's not just an octane booster I haven't tried it, or had the need for it...... yet.

93 is the best you can get, as said before. There are some stations that only carry 91 for premium, even here. I've seen one or two of the mom and pop stores around that don't carry premium at all. Most places do though.

If you're worried about gas quality, stick to the big companies. Personally, I use Shell and Marathon. I won't touch BP after the oil spill. I don't buy things from companies whose business practices I don't agree with (assuming I know they've done something terrible).

But that's just me. I would recommend any of the big companies.

If you want, here's a list of places I would buy from: Top Tier Gasoline

When we were in CO for CAA, we liked the Shell even if it was only 91 octane.

Shell V-Power appears to be the best in my car. A friend of mine tested different fuels in his SRT-4 and the least amount of knock was with the V-Power.
