Strap behind Passenger Headrest...
....I'm detailing the coupe for Woodward when I noticed for the first time a short horizontal strap at the back of the passenger headrest. Nothing on the driver's side. Any idea what they had in mind for that strap?

OK I assume you want the correct answer. It is a map holder. There was one in all real sports cars except British ones. They had map lights.

So it's for holding Maps, what were the Germans thinkin with this feature...???

Child seat strap guide- Owners manual:
Route the child restraint tether directly over the top of the seat, through the strap near the top of the seat back, and attach the hook to the anchor bar.

I'm thinking it might be a good holder for my Blackberry...just somewhere to store it but at arms reach...

The strap is for her safety. You secure your right hand there until the BP settles down.
