I think production stopped around 12/17/2007.....Wilma (Bright Silver-auto-nav) was built between 12/10 & 12/17...she's an 08.

Fred (Machine Grey-6spd),

is an 07, built in March of 07.

My Machine Gray 07 Limited Coupe was built on August 23, 2007 sometime between 10 & 11 AM. Most likely near the end of the 2007 production run.

Curious whether any of the 08 models show a production date prior to mine. It's well documented that Chrysler paid the required fees to the Feds to change VIN's on left over 2007 models to 2008 versions. Wonder if Chrysler changed the production date to the day when the VIN was altered?

Mine is newer than both of yours! Wait, what are we talking about again?

I've heard production numbers ranging from just over 70,000 to just under 80,000. It's been pretty much impossible to pin down the exact number (at least a number that everyone agrees on), as well as how many where shipped to the US as opposed to the rest of the world.

I can tell you that the Ford Focus, one of the most popular cars in recent history, for just 2004 sold over twice as many cars (just in the US) as our estimated production numbers for all 4 of the years the XF was produced (worldwide). Sorry for the poor wording. Hopefully that came across clearly.

Either way, our car isn't THAT rare, but is still pretty uncommon.

Where did you get those exact numbers? Does it mean the first 40 were test mules & never sold?

Based on the principles of mathematics, your 07 (Build #72277) is actually OLDER than my car (Build #74235) by 158 cars. Probably 3 hours or so. Your VIN label should show the 0700 or 0800 hour for assembly.

The last Crossfire rolled off of the assembly line on December 17, 2007.

Year / Production: 2003/35,700; 2004/28,000; 2005/12,500; 2006/4,805; 2007/2,000

Note: Cars produced in one calendar year may be marketed as the following model year.

The info above I found under a search.
