Major Problem
Im stationed in Chicago for the Navy, My crossfire is back home in the garage.
My dad was starting the car once a week and now it wont start.
Its just a loud clicking when he turns the key.
Its been this way for about 3 weeks.
He replaced the battery and still the same thing.
He tried to jump it off and it wont even do that.
I have no idea what the issue is.
Any ideas?

When I try to start a car & hear click, click, click - my first thought is starter. Maybe a local member can help out & take a look at it for you. Every one here always goes the extra mile to support our troops.
If you are sure of good battery and clean connections: Use a jumper cable. Place one end directly on the starter terminal. Turn the key on. Take the other end of the jumper cable and go directly to the positive battery terminal. If the car starts you have a good starter, but a bad solenoid. Replace solenoid. If it won't start, replace starter. BE CAREFUL ! You can figure this out with a volt/ohm meter also, but it requires a meter and a little more know how.
When people look for battery connections they just look at the battery, the trouble may lie where the cable is attached to the starter. Any corrosion or a loose connection can result in the starter not turning. The starter pulls a lot of power and a good connection is essential.
The battery ground terminal can also be a problem.
