Default Another dearly departed

Well, my CROSSFIRE IS GONE. Totaled at an intersection on a blind hill. Oncoming guy came over on my side at top of hill. Probably texting. BANG! Glad the airbags and structure saved my life. Fully insured. Not sure what I am going to do. This just happened four hours ago..

Sorry to hear that, I'm glad you are OK. I hope you went to hospital for a check over, insurance companies like that and if you did not they like it even more if something unexplainable happens in the near future.

Man, total bummer! Glad you are OK. My Crossfire was smacked in the parking lot about a month back, but I was able to get her back together luckily.

Awww pacemaker, sorry to hear your XF is gone! I hope you get another! You should get checked out and make sure they check everything! 180 has good advice, something could creep up in a day or two covered by the adrenalin from the accident. Please keep us posted and GET ANOTHER XF!

Sorry to hear the bad news. We have similar cars so I feel your loss. Hope you are well, and get behind the wheel very soon!! Just wondering-- was the guy charged with reckless driving?

Too bad about the xfire, but at least your ok. Make sure your ok. I have been through a couple of wrecks and it was about 3 weeks before I really found out how banged up I was. Maybe you can keep the car and get another one and make a little on it, so it won't feel quite so bad.

Thanks 180, I called my cardiologist since I have a super size Internal Cardio-Defibrilator with an array (lots of wires!). Got the on-call intern from India (Univ. of TN. Hosp.). I THINK he said that unless there are serious injuries not to worry about anything since these devices are built really well. (Famous Last Words??). I think I'll call back when I can speak with my REAL cardiologist..

Not to my knowledge.. In Knoxville, the LE folks get the info. from the other party on a nice little card, and hand it to the other driver, keeping us more or less separated. Guess it keeps down on the post trauma drama? It will be interesting to logistically become a one car family again. Thanks for your concern.

Thanks Dave, I AM sore but then again, I haven't been stretched around a large round object (airbag) since my last (only) BLIND DATE!

Sorry to hear about your Crossfire, but I'm glad you are ok...I know exactly how you feel because someone hit me and totaled my car as well...The insurance co paid off the car loan and I got about 2k after it was all said and done...It took me another 2 years to get my 2nd Crossfire...Fortunately, I had a 2nd car to drive while I saved up for another one...I hope you get back on the road faster than I did....Now everytime I'm at a stop light or in bumper to bumper traffic, my heart starts beating fast when I see someone coming up fast in my rear view mirror...

Thanks GG, Thanks for your encouragement. I'll see what the Ins. folks say.

Thanks for the commiseration. It WILL take me awhile to regain my cavalier attitude toward driving. No tickets EVER; first wreck. My car was paid for in cash. I need to figure out how much it is worth. And so it begins... Thanks again.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of the car. Most important you are safe. I hope the insurance process works itself out and you are able to rejoin us!

That's horrible and I'm so sorry about the car. I'm certainly happy to hear that you were able to walk away and that you were able to be at the Dragon.

Jonathan,
Very sorry to hear of your loss.
Glad you seem to be OK and also hope you get a fair value for your Crossfire.
I suspect you were driving alone since you didn't mention Murfi being with you.
I hope you can find a nice Crossfire to replace it.

Gary

We are so sorry to hear about your accident and are happy you weren't hurt.

We hope you get another Crossfire because we were looking forward to riding with you and your wife at the next Dragon.
