So very happy you walked away from that. Stay healthy, replace the car if you wish, but remember you will always have friends here.

Pacemaker - I can hardly believe the info you got from the UT intern. I only have a dual chamber/variable rate pacemaker, and my cardo doc told me early on that if I had any trauma at all to my body I should immediately get to a medical facility to have the data downloaded and screened for any abnormal reading. My pacer carrys the whole load for my heart which has zero native beats.

Jonathan, sorry to hear this disturbing news. Glad you had the man above watching over you and a Crossfire wraped around you. Get all the medical details checked out and good luck finding a replacement. May be an SRT this time around. I remember you were interested in one recently.

Cars are replaceable, You're not. Thankfully you're still around to tell us about the tragedy.
Hope you find another car real soon, and your aches and pains from the accident don't last too long.

You are not replaceable, the car is. So sorry but I am happy you made it out well. Concentrate to handle the shock with care and think of yourself firsthand. Regarding a new motor will come second but no worries, you have a big bunch here at the forum that will help you out!
Take care.

Sorry for your loss, glad your XFire saved you from anything major.
If this "person" was texting, I hope they nail his @rse to the wall!
Cars come and go, but Crossfires are a special breed, and so are their owners, get well soon.

Thanks for the kind responses folks. Though I am sore in my muscles this a.m., the kindness of Forum folks is a balm better than booze. Murfi and I will begin our search for another XF a.s.a.p., after all we've already reserved our room at fontana for BOTH the Spring and Fall runs.

Well, the car is a wonderful car - but you are unique! Glad to see that ANOTHER Crossfire Crash results in a driver that walks away from the accident!

I've lost count of the forum members who have had their cars totaled - where they walked away.

There is this black SRT Roadster in FLorida that someone has to buy before I ........ just sayin.

Glad to hear you're doing well. I echo everyones comments. You're more important than a vehicle, but sorry to hear a Crossie sacrificed herself for you. She did her job well. When you get around to looking for a new Crossie and if you want to come to CA for a fun drive home let me know. A quick check found 6 available around the Sacramento area, including an '05 SRT. I see several each week. Sacto loves 'em.

Take Care,
Xfirepop

I would genuinely appreciate ANY help you (all) may provide. For starters, what is a decent settlement from Ins. for my 05, coupe, 35,000 mi., immaculate condition including new tires? Any listings of a convertible would be nice. An SRT would be wasted on me as I will be trying to organize a "Tourist Class" level of tours for our gtgs on the Dragons. Listings hopefully in the SE United States.
Thanks in advance for any help you (all) may provide.
