Default Crossfire ready for wife's Christmas gift

I posted in another thread about "looking at getting a Crossfire today". Anyhow, got it home and have been working on it very hard. I repaired the drivers door grab bar and a few other small items. Today I spent all day doing the headlights and a full three stage polish. These pics aren't so great as the lighting is wrong in my garage, but here it is today. My wife will be getting the car tomorrow as we are doing a gift exchange with my brothers as one of their families will be out of town next weekend. Pretty excited about seeing what she thinks about it. I'm really falling in love with the car. Not sure if I'll give it to her or not! It is awsome. I added the crossfire center decals to the wheel center caps on the wheels I put on. I've been doing plenty of reading on here, so also, thanks for all the info here!! First the headlights:

She's going to love it....mine did for the day I let her have it, then I took it back....lol.... She got a New Mazda 6 in it's place, so it wasn't all bad...I love it too much to let her have it, and gave up getting another Z06 which saved here about $35K...in the difference....so she gave it up pretty easily.... So I would understand you not wanting to give it up....but, you can always be a 2 car owner....

Couldn't hurt to paint those calipers, if you have time on your hands, and need another project.

A nice red to match those rims.

But don't make the car too nice, or you'll never give it to her...

yep, you are right, a little tire dressing and paint the calipers...she will look brand new...and then, you will never get it back...so just leave it dirty...lol

Your car looks great. But be careful. The same thing that happened to Doc happened to me. Bought the SRT coupe for my wife and then took it back. I fell in love with the car and just could not part with it. About a year later I found an SRT roadster for her. Now every one is happy.

BTW I saw an 05 graphite SRT on a car lot here in Spartanburg tonight. 48K on the clock and asking $16995. Maybe a matching pair?

Good luck with the gift. I know she will absolutly love it.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Red might be a bit much however. Probably go gloss black. Might do red though, have to look at it more.

Don't forget to claybar and put on a couple coats of good carnuba wax. Graphites thrive with the attention, but the more you rub her skin the less likely you will be to give her up.

Are you talking about his wife or the car here, remember it is a family forum.

I couldn't help but notice that she is on the passener side! Most folks who get new cars have their pic taken in the driver's seat. Did she really get the car?

I ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT A CROSSFIRE WOULD LOOK LIKE IN SNOW, I LIVE IN MICHIGAN, SO THERE IS LOTS OF SNOW, BUT MY BABY IS UNDER COVER, HOOKED TO A BATTERY TENDER IN THE GARAGE, UNTIL APRIL.

Gee I should have got with you...I got mine she drove it, loved it, now has one on her own...newer with less miles. Go figure? I did get a extra extention of the marriage contract for 2 more years, instead of the usual series of one year contracts. Her agent was kind.
