The chances that you need ALL that work at 61k is "slim to none"---Again, I have not seen the parts, but a TOTAL rebuild at these miles is not right---Plus the first alignment guy should have told you there was a problem, so he could dial it in---DO NOT tell the Express Shop what Pep Boys said or they may jump on the band wagon---JMO, but just tell them the truth, in that the car did not do this before and you want to see the tires on a balance machine---Good Luck, Jimmy

the camber bolts on the front end may have been loosened for the alignment and not retightened. this would allow the the lower control arms to move during driving making the car unsafe. it would also explain why everything is happening after the alignment not before

I don't like to say this but it looks like Pep boys continues they're problem of "shotgunning" problems. Don't go back. I totally agree with everyone else here. A sudden problem of this nature is absolutely not realistic as a total front end failure. It's normally a very slow process. I still say a quality tire shop is your answer. Once they fix the problem and it relates to the tires, either find out what the policy is on warranties for the tire manufacturer, or what Express tires will do for their sc** up. Guaranteed the problem is simple.

I have 65,000 on my Xfire and have no problems with the front end. Everything is tight, as are 99% of the quality vehicles on the road at that mileage. Two weeks ago I noticed a wobble or wandering at low speeds. New tire solved that, a separated ply.

Let us know.

Very good point. People do make mistakes.
I once took my wife's full time all wheel drive Tahoe for new tires and when I picked it up I walked around and inspected all four tires. One was a different size than the other three.

Falken fk452
Front 225/40zr18
Rear 255/35zr19

I looked at the rotation arrow on the sidewall, and they are the right way.
I took it back to Express Tire, and lets just say I'm never going back there again.

Then I took it to Les Schwab, They said the front end is good. The steering links, suspension, ball joints, were all tight and in good working order. The tech drove it and did notice the wandering. From looking at the alignment report from Express tire, he said the car should have a slight pull to the right and due to the camber a little wobble? I'm scheduled to re-due the alignment at Les Schwab in 5hrs.

Could it just be new groves in the road from all the people that still have studded tires on since November even though it never snowed/had ice?

Seems your getting a little more attention at Les Schwab than Express. If they help you, I would write to express and let the company know how it took another competitor to get it right.

Could it be possible that the steering damper is shot, or was removed by the first shop that worked on the car?

Mike my K-macs get installed on thursday I will post up the numbers after they re-align the front end , I believe this is the only solution to getting back into spec when lowered 2 inches or more ... IMO ...AND THE STEERING STABILIZER caused my car to wonder all over the road until i replaced it and then it was a totally diffrent handling car. stays straight even with the camber issues i have in the front.

I'll place an order for one. It has been a while since I replaced it. Waiting for Les schwab to finish the alignment.

For what its worth, I just had my car adjusted today. I knew the camber was off and I was starting to show tire wear (and not just from spinning).

Here are some pics
