Default OK Coupe owners...riddle me this?

I see alot of pictures of the Crossfire coupes and the "Spoilers" are up in the pictures? Do you leave them up when you take the pictures just to show the spoiler? Or is it just Kool to have the spoiler up no mater what speed you are doing. Of all the pictures I take of my pride and joy, I have never had the spiler up. Am I just behind the times all ready?

There are dozens and dozens of photos of our Crossfire here on the forum, and as far as I know there is only one with the spoiler in the up position.
That's only because the group of Crossfires I was travelling with were running well over 80 mph (The posted speed limit) so I figured maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to raise the "white flag" so to speak.

Personally, I like the way it looks better when it's down. But I think certain colors look better with it up.

Yep, you're behind the times. J/K I keep mine up in the winter just in case we get a freeze'n rain or snow thats melts durning the day and freezes at nite. I'm afraid that if I do go out and it's frozen in the down position and I go over 65 it mite break something try'n to raise. I burnt out a wiper motor like that years ago. Now I ALWAYS make sure to turn my wipers off for the same reason. Of course some mite just keep it up because they like that look. I like the look down better, but to each his own.

I've read some unfortunate stories on the forum here of leaving the rear spoiler up when the car is parked and they are not around.
Vandals will come by and either smash it in the middle and seriously bend it or yank on it causing major damage.
I know it sucks but unfortunately there are aholes out there who will damage a car just because they recognize a nice one and don't have one themselves I guess.

Personally mine is only deployed at 65mph or while I am washing the car.

I keep my wing up ALL the time. The wing can crush a pop can if you dare to put it under the wing and push the button to lower it (but be careful). So it is strong, and for someone to break it they will really have to work at it.

The spoiler drive is stronger than you think. Have you ever noticed the spoiler cycling up and down 1/2" as you turn the key on? That will break the ice free before you hit the HW and break the ice loose in fornt of an unsuspecting motorist!

Makes it look like I'm doing 65 all the time. Actually it is personal preference. At least we have the choice of having it up or down. I have a nice decal under the wing that I show now and then.

Just seems like a challenge to Impala owners everywhere

Mine won't go down.

Too bad we can't retrofit a spoiler like the Panamera has... up, then out.

I used to leave my spoiler up.... Because my trip to work required various speeds and I didn't want my spoiler going up and down a few times on my way to work. Plus I was leaving my car in a gated private lot at work so I didn't worry about it getting stolen. If I was ever parked in a questionable area the spoiler went down.

Sometimes I leave mine down, sometimes I like it up. Like "Bill F" said, at least we have the option

EDIT: I would still kill for a SRT wing though.

The only time I use the spoiler button to lift it is when I need to clean under it after I wash it or...

when I'm the first one at the stop light and some hot shot kid in his aweful ugly car rolls up behind me with his music bumpin'. Right before the light turns green I hit the button, see/hear the lift and when green...LAUNCH. So much fun.

I love how our spoilers move up and down. It's as if it 'tranforms' into an agressive sports car then reverts back into luxurious eye candy, smooth and perfect.

I usually leave it up on the roadster because I like the way it looks. It's also fun to wave it at cute girls in cars behind you, but I found my wife frowns on this behavior (she frowns on almost everything that I find to be fun or kinky).

I never noticed this either,( Oh ya, thats because my crossfire has NEVER SEEN SNOW, ICE, OR RAIN, FOR THAT MATTER!)

And I like the way the spoiler goes up and down according to my speed, drives people crazy behind me.
