Beginning of the End???
I have had my beloved Crossfire since the beginning of 2009. It's a 2004 that I bought it in Hawaii with a little over 15,000 miles on it. It has been in the shop more times then it should of been. Has a check engine light that is on more then the headlights and every time I take it to the dealership there is never a code to tell them what is wrong. The latest trip to the shop has been 12 days so far. I had a clicking noise coming from the rear end when ever I would let off the gas or not a lot of torque on the rear end. First they realized that the dealership in Hawaii (I live in Ga now) messed up my rear brakes and the hardware had to be replaced, but the clicking did not go away so they are going to tear the rear end apart and see what they find. Hopefully my warranty covers the cost. I should find out in a few days. I don't know how much more I can take.
Nope factory everything but headlight lamps and air filters. Still haven't heard from the dealership so no info yet but I will be bugging them tomorrow.

After three weeks at the shop I finally got an answer from the dealership. A bolt inside the rest diff backed out and damaged some pieces inside. So I am getting a brand new rear end. Should have it back with in the next few days. Good thing I got a warranty. 3900 for the rear end.
I am going to bet that the "bolt" that backed out was the cross pin on the spider gears(or the set screw that holds it in) as we have seen on a couple of other failed stock diffs......
at least you are getting a new one under warranty..... you might think about saving nickels for a Wavetrac in your future....
this is the precise reason I swapped out my working factory diff for the Wavetrac....

Expensive.
Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Wow, so sorry to hear about the car being in the shop so much. The bolt in the rear diff definitely is nerve wracking. I wonder if that goes for both the N/A and SRT6.
