Default Bentley vs crossfire

The usual suspects come out and make bentley jokes at my expense. All I said was that the lines and look of our crossfire resemble a Bentley... Which is a fact! The truth is I am not a fan of Bentley. The funny thing is that out of everyone here, in about 5 years I will probably be the only person here that could actually buy a Bentley along with a few other exotics like ferarri and Lamborghini. I will probably have a small collection of certain exotic brands that i love... But there will not be a bentley in the pack. I know it is very easy to say things like this on the Internet but it is the honest truth. With all the money in the world I wouldn't buy a Bentley but you guys are actually encouraging me to do so. So maybe in 5 years at a crossfire meeting I will bring a Bentley and we can all compare how your crossfires resemble my Bentley.

Now that's funny. Have you ever brought your Crossfire to a Crossfire meet?

Hey bill.... I hear you! Sorry about that. I have a one and a half year old and a new One on the way. I am hardly home all week so good luck convincing my wife I can go out for hours on the weekend. Unless you guys drive right past my house ( like you normally do) and I can catch my wife in a good mood then I am game. But right now my wife is pregnant so I can't convince her of anything !

Actually, a little closer to reality would be that you are probably the only one on this forum that has the potential to show up at a meet wearing a skirt while your wife wears your "man" pants. Good luck with that.

So what your saying is, you wouldn't even be able to show up in a Bentley. We'll catch you when you drive by our houses.

This post is not directed at Bill... I am addressing the entire forum (specifically Sparkie).

Let me make something clear... I wear the pants in my family. I do what I want, buy what I want and live the way I want. My wife is a stay at home mother and spends her days with my daughter. I don't see my family all week but on weekends I like to spend time with my family. I like to give my wife a brake on Saturday since our daughter is so young and a handfull. Going out on a 3 hour drive is very selfish of me right now and I won't do it... at least not for another year until my daughter is a little older and more independant.

You guys can poke fun at me but let me tell you... there is no ball and chain holding me down. Right now at this point in my life I want to enjoy these years as a family. Spending a few hours driving around may be fun but it is not my #1 priority right now. My family is. If I was whipped by my wife I would have sold the crossfire by now along with a lot of other things that she wants me to do... I can tell you I am far from being whipped. I am just on hiatus and hopefully one day I will be enjoying rides in the car with my daughter or new son.... just like my father did with me.

As for Bill... I will show up in a Bentley. Like I said... give me 5 years

Sorry there blackcrossfire07, but our GTGs are for Crossfires only. If you can't make one in a Crossfire, you're not going to make one in a Bentley.

I know piling on is unfair, but...

This really happened.

8:30 a.m. on a workday in front of AT&T park in San Francisco, a baby blue Bentley Continental pulled up next to me and motioned for me to lower the window. He asked about my license plate and indicated he wanted to drag. There was one traffic light between us and the freeway onramp, but I saw it was not even close to safe considering the rest of the traffic.

I told him this was the supercharged engine, and he said, "I've got 12 cylinders." As if he were talking inches. I said, "Yeah, and you need every single one of them to move that porker." I waved and let him blow by.

Happy motoring.

I will never understand why certain people on here have to compare our cars with others. I guess it's to make them feel good or that they're insecure about the worth of the Crossfire. I watched Barrett-Jackson over the weekend and saw a 10 year old Boxter go for about $19,000 but there wasn't one Crossfire in the bunch. Frankly, we have what we have and it's a pretty good car and I don't see why people on here can't be happy with that.

Hey Black, is it to late to start treating you nice? I can use all the rich friends I can get.

Someone on here compared our cars to "exotic" cars. All I said was that the crossfire lines reminded me of the lines of a bentley. All of a sudden people around here think I love bentley cars and make a big deal of it. It is a good thing I didn't compare our cars to a fiat or a smart car!
