Last night after a local car meet in Rt 37 I was on my way home and was greeted at the traffic light by a charger srt8 who was getting alot of attention at the meet for how nicely his car was done up in both aesthetics and performance.. anyway I had no interest in racing him but he kept heckling me so I decided to race him just for fun to see how i put up a fight against goliath.. any way he said he wanted to race to the fire signal which was roughly a 1/4 mile away.. anyway light turned and I got the jump and kept about a half car length lead the whole time! After the fire signal I let off and he kept going while giving me the bird he drove off! I am proud of my little crossfire! Just thought I'd post to give hope to those of you with n/a crossfires, who cnt get an srt6 or afford the BEGI turbo kit!

 

The Charger SRT8 would kill a limited Crossfire.

Maybe I should say this. A SRT8 Charger would MURDER a heavily modded Limited Crossfire.

 

The old SRT8 runs low 13's stock, and the new ones 12's. The guys car must have had an issue.

Good kill, but it was a huge fluke. Most NA guys should steer clear of those SRT8 badges unless you don't care about the outcome.

Even with video it was still a fluke. Sorry dude, the limited doesn't hold a candle to the power from that V8.

Don't get me wrong, a win is a win, but a NA Crossfire winning against the SRT8 is not the norm by any means The dude had issues.

Congrats on the win though. You should buy a lottery ticket tonight while you're on a lucky streak.

 

Unnecessary.. all I was doing was posting a true story with video evidence.. even if he was sleeping at the light a win is a win and and I'm glad/surprised that I didn't get blown out of the water.. that's it, I put up a good fight

 

Stick or automatic?

 

My crossfire is manual and the srt8 is automatic

 

easy there young one.... I used to do stuff like that, in fact, I still do. I have let a lot of youngsters stay close to me. Can't make any money beating up on them. You need to make them think they have a chance...then....well, you know the rest of the story.... Anyway, most V-8 Chargers, from my experience around the track, will win....street is a whole 'nother story. Not as safe to do, nerves, and the surroundings get in the way....

 

The guy in the charger is a year or two older than me. I usually don't street race either now that I'm in the police academy

 

And oledoc you are 100% correct huge different between street and strip

 

The Crossfire in this video looks blue, yours is black.
Seems strange that for something that happened on the spur of the moment that someone was set up to record the moment. Hmmmm!

 

It's my black crossfire.. license plate is the same as the one in my driveway unless he took mine.. I didn't post this i bc its part of a huge conspiracy to trick everyone

Hay! easy guys !!!! I have buddy that had Srt8 Charger i jump out in front of him one night at light , it took him about half block to catch me but when he did it was like i was standing still .I also know some of them like to make them look like Srt8 when there no more then 3.5 or5.7 , I would say if you got him on a short block you did ok , now before you guys jump in my Shi@@ i own a SRT 8 300C
