Question? Steering wheel wobbles
I just put 20x8.5 in. wheels on front tires are 235/35/20 with 2 5/16 in. spacers on each front wheel, Rear I put 20x10 255/30/20 tires on rear with no spacers. Needed spacers on front to prevent rubbing on inside of tire. Don't know much, about how to fix the problem. Mayber realignment, not sure, but when I hit 40-50mph the steering wheel wobbles violently. I checked the lugs and they are torqued properly. I'm really lost and frustrated someone please help. Thanks
Is that one spacer that is 2 and 5/16" thick or 2 spacers that are 5/16" at each wheel? Either way, neither is a good idea at all. Are any of the spacers hub-centric? Our cars support the wheels by the center of the hub, not the lugs. If you are just using regular spacers you are driving very dangerously.

All 4 spacers need to be hubcentric. As long as they are hubcentric and kept properly torqued there shouldnt be any problems using them safely. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that spacers can place extra load on front wheel bearings. Keeping up on servicing the bearings along with careful inspection while servicing them will alleviate any problems that might crop up.
