Default Went down to my dealer today and what did I find?

4000 cash back on the Crossfires until the end of September - Arghhhh

I also saw in the new roadster which is ok on the exterior but I wouldn't like people seeing my interior. I also see the cupholder is gone and been replaced with a black plactic hole.

And as the Chrysler dealer is in the Mercedes dealer I saw the new SLK which is nice on the outside and georgous on the inside, if only the Crossfire had a decent interior.

Also noticed a blue coupe if interested.

4K are you sure? bloody hell that means its the same price as the 350Z and RX-8 must mean they want to shift stock quick.

Lets face it Chrysler stuffed it up again.

They should of either put a decent interior in the car or priced the car right for what it offers.

So I'm thinking that mines worth no more then 20000 maybe as low as 18000

I collected my crossfire from the dealer yesterday and the final selling price was 20,800 for a NEW car!

They have shifted over 30 at this price in one week!

The 4k cash back is the same deal, you end up at the same bottom line.

I really feel for the initial owners who paid 27k-28k

Looks like an exit stratergy to me, I'll have a tenner on the announcement of the end of UK Xfires before year end, they can't sell them at this price an make profit.

And 30 in one week, there goes exclusivity too, thanks DCUK looks like this will be the last chrylser i ever own! back to real brands that have a resale value.

Now I'm glad mine has a guaranteed resale value in 2008.

The price giveaway does not surprise me, just really disappointing for those who really liked the car and took the first big step. They did the same thing with our first PT Cruiser.

I know of other Manufacturers who do this when sales fall below target. Citroen were doing cashback at the start of the year.

It would be nice for DCUK to make some offering to those who paid top dollar (e.g. luggage?).

Now I'm very annoyed. My car is just about a month old and already de-valued by 4,000. I will call DCUK customer service department tomorrow and have this out with them. Either they give me the cash back or I use my 30 days cooling off period and send it back. GRRRRR.

At the end of the day I bought the car for it's styling and I'd still take one over the competition, but at this rate of loss for those of us that pre-ordered there'll be no money left in this car when it's time to trade.
Dare I mention that before I got mine I questioned if this would be the next PROBE.
I got a brochure through about the x-fire convertible, priced from 27,000 the values of coupes were bound to be hit.

you could always paint your interior to match and add the wood kit...

SLK 320 interior:

Crossfire Interior:

Unless you are talking about the 2005 SLK 350 (replaces the 320) interior - that looks really good:
