2004 Chrysler Crossfire Base, $11,995 - Cars.com

Sorry don't know how to make it a link but , this xf looks promising I know they could prolly be talked down ,from asking price... but it says 04 base , from my knowledge 04s never came in a base model o.O

What do you guys think ?

They probably classified it as a base because of the dark windshield trim. Is the trim black or CF?

 

Base cars never came with an automatic. Some people mistakenly call an 04 a" base" car because they weren't called a Limited in 04. As James pointed out, the windshield surround isn't silver like it should be for an 04, so that may have confused them as well.

 

I'm a little confused because i know 04's were all technically limited so the window trim should be silver ? Am I wrong ?
But I don't know yet the dealership is closed being Sunday so tomorrow I will go and check it out

Given that the wheels have been painted I would assume the window trim was painted as well

 

Just another case of someone selling a car without knowing what they have - and how much it's been cosmetically modified.

 

I had that thought aswell, don't care to much about the rims but i really hope it was plastidipped and painted cause I really like the silver around the window

 

On this car, I like the black wheels & windshield trim.

 

Those wheels look pretty flat black so I wouldn't be surprised if it was indeed plastidip...

I've gone back and forth quite a bit on the window trim piece and what I think looks best... I think the silver stands out too much but it being black also doesn't really do it for me...

 

I like the low miles. I like the serial number. The wheels look dipped, so I bet the windshield surround is too. Price seems fair. Hit um hard. Good luck.

To make my day worse I lost my job
On the good side of things I found an alabaster white (the color I've been searching for) which I'll be taking a look at soon , hope insurance on these cars isn't to bad
