Default Lease a Crossfire?

Has anyone taken advantage of that 2004 Lease a Crossfire for $299 a mth and $3k at signing for 36mths? It sounds like an awesome deal.

I was lookin at leasing an srt-4 and it was gonna cost me $379 a mth for 36mths with 3k down.

So its pretty much a no brainer which car i should get

But i wanted to know if there were any catches from maybe someone who is going this route. I think it only applies to 04s. Thats what i do know. And it ends 8-30-04.

After driving a crossfire at the chrysler art of driving thing im very very impressed with the car. Quality, braking, handling, turning. The speed isnt bad for a stock 3.2L so im still impressed. Wish i could find a 6spd though as all the ones around only have the 5spd auto. If anyone knows of any in the west palm beach area please make it known 8)

I'm leasing mine. $3,000 down was covered by my trade. I pay $320/mo for 39 months on 15,000 miles per year.

The only "catch" that caught me at first was the lease termination fee which they kind of fail to tell you about. It is in small print at the bottom. It will cost you $300 to turn in the crossfire at the end of the lease. But even with that, it is still a heck of a deal.

The money down is only $2300 + tax to get you to $299/mo, 12k miles/year.

They have had that deal in NY for a while. There is a "catch" however. The down payment does not cover tax, which is about another $2500 depending on local tax rates.

Go for it! I was looking at buying a srt-4 but all your getting is a little straight line performance and you would be in a neon. The crossfire has it beat everywhere else. I was also looking at some used EVO's but payments near the 500 marker again i was better off keeping my Mach 1. You cant beat the cross fire payment. Im paying 329 a mo for 36 months with only my 1st payment and new plates down. Under 500 bucks. Thats hard to beat! And thats why i went with it. Sure may be a lil' sluggish but im working on it.

FYI: Auto quotes, whether leasing or buying, never include tax for the obvious reason that tax varies from state to state. So I wouldn't call that a catch. Some states have sales tax, some have lease tax, some have property tax, some no tax.

Also, the tax should be no where near $2500 on a crossfire lease, even in NY. Tax is based on the depreciated amount, with the exception of some states.

Chrysler Financial (the one offering the $299 39mo lease) probably won't participate in a demo lease, but theretically any car can be leased. There is a dealer in town that leases used cars. Of course you'd have to be crazy to lease a used car since your warranty will probably run out 1/2 way thru the lease and you'll be paying to fix somebody else's car if something is to go wrong.

That was my next question. Does the friends and family discount apply towards crossfires? And then can that be used for a lease?
