That lease price is about in line with what it should be. Over the course of the lease term he is paying about $1500 less than the 04 special. But note, it is an 05 base model, which is $5000 less expensive than the limited.

I guess i still dont quite understand how a lease works b/c for me to lease an srt-4 for 3 yrs it was going to cost me $379 a mth and that car was stickered at 22844 where a crossfire is stickered at about 10k higher than that and the monthly payment is less on a crossfire??

Its all about depreciation and markup.

1) The crossfire (theoretically) will not depreciate as bad as a Neon.
2) The crossfire, since based on a pre-existing platform, has quite a bit of markup (The SLK has already recooped the engineering and development costs for the crossfire). Therefore chrysler is willing to provide a large capital cost reduction (aka, reduce the sticker price for lease)

I leased an '04 with 4400-ish, with rebates and all that, down 15K miles/year for $311/mo. Gotta love that recent college grad discount. 1% off invoice.

Default Lease a Crossfire?

Just thought I would add to the discussion. I just leased an '04 Sapphire Blue Metallic Crossfire, automatic, with the two tone graphite interior. I paid $2400 total drive off which included first month's lease payment, tax and license. My monthly lease payment is $317/mo., 12,000 miles per year, and 36,000 miles total for three years. I felt I couldn't pass up this deal! I've only had the car for less than a week, but I love it so far. It is a real eye catcher! I'll add photos when I can...

Well it looks like everyone is staying in the low $300s which isnt too bad. Ill have to keep my eyes open for a dealer that wont try to rape me.
