Hey guys, I just wanted to let y'all know that O'Reilly's part store carries the recommended fluid for our power steering. It's called Pentosin chf11s and is about $20.00, which I believe is cheaper than dealer price. The reason I needed some was due to the DCAI installation. I lost enough to put it at a low level. This is just FYI in case anyone needed some and didn't want to go to the Dealer.

How did a DCAI installation make you lose power steering fluid ?
Did you disconnect the cooling coil in front of the radiator, and if so, why ?

 

I just followed the instructions from Needswings. For me, the P/S line going to the reservoir was the most difficult. It would not loosen or come off for anything. So I ended up cutting a section off and this is where I lost some fluid. I just wasn't quick enough to catch it all and cap it. And I did replace the cooling line for the only reason that I got another one from Needswings with a less obstructive design.

 

you cut it..... yeah, it is a beatch....and yes, you do lose some fluid that way....

 

I got my fluid at the local VW/Audi dealer. They were the only ones to have it in stock. 1 liter was about $13.
